We caught up with Staz Lindes, the super cool LA-based musician who's the new face of YSL Beauty, to talk a little bit about herself and her signature makeup look.

You&rsquo;ll know by now that YSL Beauty has a new ambassadress in&nbsp;<a href="http://www.lofficielsingapore.com/5-things-you-need-to-know-staz-lindes-ysl-beaute-ambassadress/">Staz Lindes.</a>&nbsp;She&rsquo;s young, she&rsquo;s cool, she&rsquo;s from Los Angeles, she&rsquo;s a musician, and she&rsquo;s also got a killer sense of style and a great philosophy about makeup. We caught up with her to find out a little bit more&nbsp;about the things she loves and is inspired by. Personally, we&rsquo;re inspired to bust out the&nbsp;combination of&nbsp;white shirt worn open with a strong lip &ndash; cheers to 2017!

Even as a teenager, I was inspired by the natural style of the iconic French actresses and models of the ‘60s. I’d even go to the hairdresser and ask for the same cut.

There’s a really cool quote from Monsieur Saint Laurent that sums up how I feel about style:
“I love clothes, I don’t care about fashion”. That’s so me!

How do you feel about being named the new face of YSL Beauty?

It&rsquo;s an incredible honour to be the new face of YSL Beauty &ndash; I&rsquo;ve been working as a musician for years, but this feels like a real career high point. I have fond childhood memories of discovering the brand as a child, so it&rsquo;s very close to my heart. I remember the first time I visited Paris with my mother &ndash; we spent hours trying on endless different perfumes in a department store. The one I finally chose was YSL Paris &ndash; a scent that to me, captures the very essence and allure of the city.

What is your favourite occupation?

Being a musician! Thanks to both my mum and dad, music has always been a big part of my life. I remember driving along in the car with my mum as a child and listening to her favourite songs from The Everly Brothers, The Cure and Elliot Smith.

What is your dream beauty look?

Simplicity. I love for my skin to look fresh, clean and natural &ndash; the perfect pared-down canvas for the bolder eye and lip looks I often wear. For me, great skin is about layering a serum beneath a moisturiser, then using makeup to accentuate your best features &ndash; rather than masking any perceived flaws.

That&rsquo;s one of the reasons why I love the original Touche &Eacute;clat &ndash; a true beauty icon: It&rsquo;s quick, easy, highlights your cheekbones, brows and Cupid&rsquo;s bow &ndash; and is the perfect size to take everywhere in my bag.

What is your style motto?

&ldquo;I love clothes, I don&rsquo;t care about fashion&rdquo;. That&rsquo;s so me! I&rsquo;ve always loved clothes and make-up &ndash; whether it be designer or vintage pieces from thrift shops, my cupboards are over-flowing and always speak to my own sense of style, rather than generic trends.
