Guerlain captures the hour of possibilities, expressing modern femininity, tenderness and strength with a fresh take on its iconic L’Heure Bleue fragrance

Having existed and excelled in the world of beauty for almost 200 years, <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/beauty/refresh-your-eyes-with-guerlain-new-abeille-royale-eye-care-skincare-anti-aging-cream" title="Refresh Your Eyes with Guerlain’s new Abeille Royale Eye Care" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Guerlain</a> has created numerous iconic and <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/beauty/nose-memory-interview-guerlain-thierry-wasser-perfumer-fragrance-beauty-interview-mile-phakphum" title="A Nose For Memory: An Interview with Guerlain’s Thierry Wasser" target="_blank" rel="noopener">creative fragrances</a> over five generations of perfumers. This year, the Maison continues its avant-garde streak with the brand new L’Heure Bleue, a blend of ozonic accord, iris, orange blossom and vanilla.
Its source of inspiration, the blue hour, is a natural phenomenon: two brief 20 to 40 minute periods of twilight, just before sunrise and right after sunset, when the sun is deep below the horizon, that fill the sky with a cool yet intense blue light. In these moments, night gives way to day or day fades into night, birds chirp freely, and flowers emit their finest essence and aroma.

It’s a perfume that enfolds us in its powerful yet gentle and intimate scent.” Jelk’s new iteration features ozonic and soapy top notes; a heart of two iconic Guerlain ingredients, powdery iris and soothing orange blossom; and a base of warm vanilla (another fragrance signature of the Maison). Completing L’Heure Bleue was no easy feat. In fact, it took Guerlain three years of work to find the right rhizomes and produce the correct iris tincture, which gives the new version its sense of refinement and sophistication.
Beyond the scent, the house has revisited the jewelled “inverted heart” bottle that housed Jacques Guerlain’s composition of 1912. The fresh version is elevated with lacquering and a stunning gradient of blues, which call to mind the colour of the sky between night and day.&nbsp;
L’Heure Bleue is available in 30, 50, and 100 ml sizes.
