At the heart of the product is the Vanda coerulea, also known as the &ldquo;orchid of 10,000 generations&rdquo; as it is able to live for over 100 years. Now, with Guerlain focusing its two decades of Orchid&eacute;e Imp&eacute;riale formulation excellence, it is time for the all-new expression to bloom: The Longevity Cream. Targeting cell ageing processes, also known as the aforesaid longevity pathways, the cream acts at the very root of ageing and reduces such signs from appearing. The Longevity Cream is imbued with avant-garde technology, acting on fundamental biological targets, the Mitochondrial Associated Membranes (MAMs), to ensure ideal skin cell functioning and protein synthesis, and thus visibly youthful skin. &ldquo;MAMs are essential because they are dynamic connection points involved in the organisation and adjustment of skin cells&rsquo; vital functions,&rdquo; explains Dr. Fr&eacute;d&eacute;ric Bont&eacute;, Director of Scientific Communication at Guerlain.
In simpler and results-oriented terms, one may expect to observe improved skin quality within one week of using The Longevity Cream, as well as firmer, plumper and more radiant skin in one month, with major signs of ageing corrected. After six months, the appearance of signs of ageing may be slowed down by up to two times. There are two textures of The Longevity Cream that one can choose from: Normal, for a lightweight and plumping feel, and Rich, which contains new-generation ceramides and a plant extract to encourage the skin&rsquo;s lipid cement.
