Just a year after causing a scent-sation with its Bar&eacute;nia Eau de Parfum, <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/beauty/meet-hermes-beauty-s-autumn-winter-2025-limited-edition-collection">Herm&egrave;s</a> is returning with Bar&eacute;nia Eau de Parfum Intense. It is the olfactory amalgamation of reminiscence and conception, says the Maison &mdash; for without remembrance, there can be no introduction.

In this fresh iteration, perfumer at Herm&egrave;s, <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/beauty/perfumer-christine-nagel-the-heart-of-tutti-twilly-hermes-beauty-fragrance">Christine Nagel</a> aimed to escalate the original Bar&eacute;nia formulation, reconstructing her creation &mdash; the Eau de Parfum&rsquo;s essence of patchouli is augmented and a distinct patchouli, in an absolute form, takes over. This being the house of Herm&egrave;s, leathery notes finish the scent&rsquo;s character, which is shaped around sweet butterfly lily and miracle berry, with oakwood included in the aromatic mix.

&ldquo;When you touch Bar&eacute;nia <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/hermes-fall-winter-2025-show-collection-runway-paris-fashion-week">leather</a>, a kind of fusion happens between the texture and your skin. The leather returns your caress,&rdquo; says Nagel. Yes, the latest fragrance reveals a new side of the Herm&egrave;s woman &mdash; the sweetness of lily contrasts with the enchanting and hedonistic aroma of leather. All this asserts that the wearer is strong and charming, while possessing an aura of mystery.

The duplexity is represented in the bottle&rsquo;s design by Philippe Mouquet, who has worked with the Maison for decades. The flacon is coloured with a gentle lacquer in graded shades of amber, revealing transparency at the base to show the house&rsquo;s signature. While the metal plate, referencing the iconic Collier de chien bracelet, and the bottle cap remain true to the original, the box that houses the Eau de Parfum Intense is enriched by the red hue that is <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/beauty-awards-2021/lofficiel-beauty-awards-2021-best-long-wearing-lipstick-hermes">rouge H</a>.
