This makeup look by  Peter Philips is Dior-approved. 

Dior went back to black for its Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2020 collection. The collection follows a dark, moody theme with models strutting down the runway in black&nbsp;structured wool coats, suiting and cocktail dresses. Fresh off the runway, Dior presents&nbsp;the ultimate smokey eye look&nbsp;to match Maria Grazia Chiuri&#39;s vibe for the season.&nbsp;

The inspiration behind this: Dior&#39;s new Diorshow Tri(O)blique Eye Shadow Palette in a trio of silver, grey, and jet black.&nbsp;Creative director of Christian Dior Makeup, Peter Philips, gifted Chiuri the customized palette with her name back at the&nbsp;2020 Cruise show in Marrakech.&nbsp;&quot;She said, &#39;It&#39;s really funny you gave this to me because for Haute Couture, I was thinking of a smoky eye.&quot;

And how exactly do you achieve Dior-approved smoky eyes? Starting with the base, Philips applied the new Dior Backstage Face &amp; Body Primer&nbsp;for a flawless complexion, followed by a fine layer of Dior Backstage Face &amp; Body Foundation. With up to forty shades, you&#39;re bound to find one that is perfect for your skin tone.&nbsp;

And when it comes to those peepers, Philips went for both a soft and intense smoky eye. After priming&nbsp;the eye with the Dior Flash Luminizer Radiance Pen on the eyelids, he went ahead with black shadow and began to make the eye by &quot;pushing&quot; the powder into the roots of the lashes with a sponge applicator. To our surprise, no mascara was needed for this look.&nbsp;&quot;When you apply mascara, it becomes more about seduction,&quot; he said. &quot;Without, it&#39;s more poetic. You take the harshness out of it, but it&#39;s still strong.&quot;

To complement such an intense makeup look, Philips went for a natural finish on the lips with a swipe of neutral lip gloss in Dior Lip Minimiser.&nbsp;
