Whether you’re an astrology believer or not, we could all use a little bit of TLC in our beauty regimes

With Australian bushfires and an ongoing coronavirus plaguing the start of the year, we&rsquo;re happy to say that we&rsquo;ve safely made it, albeit barely, a little more than halfway into the first quarter of 2020.&nbsp;

And if you&rsquo;re digitally inclined (or spend too much time on the internet) like us, you might&rsquo;ve seen the term Mercury Retrograde being thrown around a lot. Here&#39;s a crash course, and some tips on how to survive it.

What is Mercury Retrograde?

A few times a year, Mercury, the planet of communication, goes retrograde. Which means to say that it rotates the sun faster than we do on earth. And as the planet of communication, you can expect that all forms of communication start getting a little wonky during this period. Our electronics may start acting up, slowing down or breaking down altogether, and communication may be challenging, misunderstandings are more likely to happen, and unfinished business from the past may be more likely to show up (here&rsquo;s looking at your ex).

Here are all the mercury retrogrades of 2020:&nbsp;

February 16 to March 9 Retrograde in Pisces&nbsp;

June 18 to July 12 Retrograde in Cancer&nbsp;

October 13 to November 3 Retrograde in Scorpio (lol, pray for us)

So if you are feeling a tad bit more emotional lately, it&rsquo;s normal given this period. But fret not! It&rsquo;s not all doom and gloom. Given the amount of slowdowns that this period incurs, take it in your stride to express gratitude for being able to slow down just a little, and see this as a chance to recalibrate, reconnect, and recenter yourself. Life is all about perspective, after all.
