Norway follows a global trend to combat aesthetic pressure propagated in social media and advertising

<p style="text-align:justify"><strong>Norway </strong>has just passed a law that requires <a href="https://www.revistalofficiel.com.br/cultura/influencers-do-futuro-tiktok-genuinfluencers"><strong>influencers</strong></a>, companies and media outlets to advise if there are filters or editing on the images they use. The country follows a global trend that has struggled to fight the unrealistic beauty standards propagated on social media.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The <a href="https://www.revistalofficiel.com.br/beleza/uma-nova-era-influencers-sao-banidos-de-usar-filtros-enganosos-em-campanhas-de-beleza"><strong>United Kingdom</strong></a> had already announced a very similar measure in February 2021. Now, altered lips, Photoshopped-waist or even hiding pimples, will require a label that will be supervised by the Ministry of Children and Family in the country. It is hoped that the amendments will help to contain the negative influence that body pressure has on young children, youth and adults.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">&ldquo;Body pressure is present in the workplace, in the public space, at home, and in various media&hellip; it is always present, often imperceptibly, and is difficult to combat. A law against rigged advertising is a measure against corporal pressure,&rdquo; the ministry said in a statement.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">In addition, the law will also require influencers and celebrities to notify you if content posted on their social networks has received a payment or any other benefit.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">But to show how difficult it is to deal with bodily dysmorphism, the ministry raised another important point. They are very concerned if the law encourages plastic surgery that happens earlier and earlier. Perhaps, with less influence from social media and <em><strong>body positive trends</strong></em>, people will be able to accept themselves for who they are - but that, only time will tell!</p>
