The atelier has added two new scents, Fanfan and Galileo, to its Les Toupies line of perfume masterpieces, housed in exquisite handblown crystal flacons

Quality over quantity, such is the philosophy of Parfums Henry Jacques. In an era of mass-produced, celebrity-endorsed fragrances, the atelier stands out for its old school approach to the art of perfume-making, likened to that of a haute couture house. Once circumscribed to bespoke services, today the house offers a permanent selection of fragrances on its shelves, among which numbers the exceptional Les Toupies collection. Launched just months ago, the series now reaches its third and final chapter with the introduction of two new scents for him and her, Galileo and Fanfan.

Distinctly masculine, Galileo carries top notes of lavender and Italian mandarin that deepen into a heart of patchouli and myrrh, finished off by an earthy blend of amber, tobacco, and oak moss. A soft fragrance marked by rare intensity, Fanfan opens with lavender and saffron, trailed by Indian sandalwood and rose Damascenia over base notes of Moroccan cedar wood, amber, and leather.

Both fragrances are housed in crystal flacons shaped like toy tops, from which the collection gets its name (Les Toupies means &ldquo;spinning tops&rdquo; in French). Made entirely by hand, the bottles were painstakingly developed over the course of three years by artistic director Christophe Tollemer. Pieces of art in their own right, the multi-faceted vessels beautifully magnify the perfume inside.

The Les Toupies III collection is available now at the Henry Jacques boutique in Marina Bay Sands. Fanfan comes in a 40ml bottle and Galileo in 60ml.
