This year's film festival took on additional precautionary measures, but did not fail to deliver on these glamorous looks.

If we have been starved from major events for the most of 2020, this past week alone has been marked by the return of several red carpet events.&nbsp;After the VMAs, which <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/vma-2020-from-lady-gaga-to-ariana-grande-see-the-best-looks-of-the-historic-event">provided us with a bevy of inspirational looks</a>, the&nbsp; Venice Film Festival came through&nbsp;with a covid-safe approach. One of the only major film festivals taking place physically this year, the&nbsp;77th edition is already full of memorable glamorous moments. Among them, actresses Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton really shone through at the opening.

Unlike the VMAs, which did not have the much-loved red carpet format, the Festival adopted security measures that made it possible. Instead of an open space, a wall protects the celebrities who pass through the red carpet. Along with this, masks have been made&nbsp;mandatory. Notably,&nbsp;several stars also sat out from this year&#39;s edition.

But none of this prevented the actresses from shining through. Cate Blanchett &nbsp;who is in the cinema jury this year, gave us a glamorous, elegant look in&nbsp;a classy navy blue dress with white highlights designed by Colombian designer Esteban Cortazar. And an interesting fact: she previously wore this dress&nbsp;in 2015, certainly sending across the&nbsp; important message of&nbsp;circularity in fashion.

Tilda Swinton opted for a chic Chanel outfit. The actress is one of the real highlights of the event, as she is the star of Pedro Almod&oacute;var&#39;s new film The Human Voice, which will be released at the event itself, and also received the 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award. The&nbsp;actress also paid tribute to actor Chadwick Boseman, who passed away last week,&nbsp; and performing the greeting of Wakanda Forever.
