The model and entrepreneur reveals she's expecting her first child via a short video directed by Lena Dunham

Congratulations are in order for <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/bella-hadid-emily-ratajkowski-and-dua-lipa-can-t-get-enough-of-midriff-floss">Emily Ratajkowski</a>!&nbsp;Just hours ago, the&nbsp;model and entrepreneur&nbsp;announced that she is pregnant with her first child via <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CG0Vtr1D9g4/">an intimate video posted to Instagram</a> and directed by Lena Dunham.

Entitled Who Will You Be?, the short film features self-captured footage of Ratajkowski&nbsp;&mdash; nude at the doctor&#39;s office and at home with her growing baby bump, in the bathtub and alongside her dog, Colombo.&nbsp;

Dunham is a close friend of Ratajkowski and her husband,&nbsp;Sebastian Bear-McClard (Dunham has known Bear-McClard since she was three). The two women met when Dunham interviewed EmRata for her podcast&nbsp;Women of the Hour. Both are outspoken advocates of women&#39;s rights and have <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/Culture/emily-ratajkowski-accuses-photographer-jonathan-leder-of-sexual-assault">penned essays about their personal experiences</a> as women in the entertainment industry.

Jotting&nbsp;down her thoughts on becoming a mother in a personal essay written for&nbsp;an American magazine, Ratajkowski also explains why she and her husband will endeavour to&nbsp;force as few gender stereotypes on their child as possible.&nbsp;

&quot;When my husband and I tell friends that I&#39;m pregnant, their first question after &#39;Congratulations&#39; is almost always &#39;Do you know what you want?&#39; We like to respond that we won&#39;t know the gender until our child is 18 and that they&#39;ll let us know then,&quot; Ratajkowski writes. &quot;Everyone laughs at this. There is a truth to our line, though, one that hints at possibilities that are much more complex than whatever genitalia our child might be born with: the truth that we ultimately have no idea who&nbsp;&mdash; rather than what&nbsp;&mdash; is growing inside my belly. Who will this person be? What kind of person will we become parents to? How will they change our lives and who we are? This is a wondrous and terrifying concept, one that renders us both helpless and humbled.&quot;
