The show takes a new form of the family by the incomparable filmmaker <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/culture/tim-burton-is-bringing-wednesday-addams-back-to-life" target="_blank" title="Tim Burton Is Bringing Wednesday Addams Back To Life" rel="noopener">Tim Burton</a>.
Our favorite supernatural series, <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/wednesday-blues-how-to-dress-like-wednesday-addams" target="_blank" title="Wednesday Blues: How To Dress Like Wednesday Addams" rel="noopener">Wednesday</a>, broke all-time records with over 341.23 million hours viewed according to the <a href="https://deadline.com/2022/11/wednesday-breaks-record-most-hours-viewed-netflix-ratings-1235184006/">Deadline</a>, taking up the #1 slot in the streamer&rsquo;s top 10 for weeks following its release. And given Wednesday's high audience score and significant online buzz, it's no surprise that on January 6, <a href="https://twitter.com/netflix/status/1611407245534707718?s=46&amp;t=znKrOk1Fu0UMEZvpokDn3g" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Netflix officially announced</a> that the series would return for a second season. Will there be a season 2?

The show's co-creator Miles Miller spoke with <a href="https://tvline.com/2022/11/24/wednesday-season-1-finale-episode-8-recap-season-2-spoilers-renewed-cancelled/">TV Line</a> about a potential renewal in November 2022, &ldquo;We felt like we just touched the surface with those characters and the actors are so amazing in those roles,&rdquo; Millar said. &ldquo;Catherine is, I think, an iconic Morticia. The relationship between Wednesday and Morticia is also essential to the show, and the idea that Wednesday is trying to forge her own path outside the family is important.&rdquo; So there you have it, there is more to Wednesday that we can explore in another season.
On January 6, 2023, Netflix shared on social media that the show would indeed be returning for a Season 2. With the ongoing strikes though, it's hard to say when production will begin.

Will there be new cast members?

There has been no official date or announcement if there will be new cast members or who will return in Wednesday Season 2. As of now, we are assuming most of the main cast is returning.
However, according to <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12454313/Percy-Hynes-White-dropped-Netflix-Wednesday-sex-assault-allegation.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the Daily Mail</a>, Percy Hynes White who played Xavier Thorpe &mdash; the student who could make art come to life &mdash; has been written out the series. The decision comes after Hynes White was bombarded with multiple sexual assault allegations against him, claims that he and his family have denied.&nbsp;
