The Complete List of Nominees for the 74th Emmy Awards
Here, we present the best in showbiz that has made it into this year’s nominations, including 'Squid Game', 'Ted Lasso' and 'Succession'.
Taking place this year on September 12, the Emmys are one of the four major entertainment awards, aka EGOT, in the West. EGOT, an acronym for the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards, are presented to the crème de la crème in entertainment, across different facets.
South Korean drama 'Squid Game' continues making history with its latest Emmy nominations, bagging a total of 14, including Outstanding Drama Series. The hit Netflix survival series has already been lauded with multiple record-breaking SAG awards and Critics Choice awards but now it’s also the first non-English series to be nominated for multiple awards at the Emmys.
All eyes were on 'Succession', too. The comedy-drama gathered the most nominations at this year’s Emmys, a staggering 25 nods across various categories including writing, directing and acting. 2022’s edition of the Emmys also sees the entrance of a number of first-time nominees including Sydney Sweeney for viral teen drama 'Euphoria' and Andrew Garfield for true-crime series 'Under the Banner of Heaven'.
