The famed force behind  "Beetlejuice" and "Edward Scissorhands," Tim Burton is set to direct a live-action TV series based on "The Addams Family."

The world&#39;s most beloved and horrifying family, <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1620981/">The Addams</a>, might be getting yet another chance at life in a new TV series to be created and directed by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/best-halloween-movies-netflix-hulu-stream-now">Tim Burton</a>.

According to <a href="https://deadline.com/2020/10/tim-burton-addams-family-tv-series-1234601840/">Deadline</a>, the filmmaker &mdash; known for his gothic fantasy films such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sweeney Todd,&nbsp;and more &mdash; is in talks with&nbsp;Smallville developers/executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar to co-write a show based on the present life of fan-favorite character, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/wednesday-addams-fashion-prada-halloween-2019">Wednesday</a>.&nbsp;

The youngest of Charles and <a href="https://www.vogue.fr/fashion-culture/article/the-addams-family-5-actresses-who-played-morticia-addams-on-screen">Morticia Addams</a>,&nbsp;Wednesday is known for her stoic state, quick-plotting, familiar pale skin, and long, dark braided pigtail. Portrayed most notable by <a href="https://addamsfamily.fandom.com/wiki/Christina_Ricci">Christina Ricci</a> in Barry Sonnenfeld&#39;s double feature adaption of the original cartoon by <a href="https://www.newyorker.com/cartoons/bob-mankoff/charles-addams">illustrator Charles Addams</a>&nbsp;in 1938,&nbsp;she served as a rational foil to her family&#39;s manic nature.&nbsp;
