If you happened to be around Ngee Ann City last week, you might have wondered what all the excitement was about. A large crowd had gathered outside Takashimaya, where Italian luxury brand <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/han-stray-kids-tods-brand-ambassador-fashion-celebrity-news" title="Stray Kids’ HAN Named Tod’s Brand Ambassador Ahead of Milan Fashion Week" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tod's</a> was celebrating the grand opening of its <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/inside-tods-tod-s-new-flagship-store-takashimaya-shopping-centre-fashion-j-p-club-accessories" title="Inside Tod’s New Flagship Store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre" target="_blank" rel="noopener">brand new flagship boutique</a>. With an impressive guest list featuring international and local celebrities, it quickly became one of the week's most talked-about fashion events.
Flying in from Thailand for the occasion was actress and singer <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/tods-fall-winter-2026-milan-fashion-week-runway-celebrities-becky-armstrong" title="Tod’s Deliver Quiet Strength in Modern Italian Luxury For Fall/Winter 2026" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Becky Armstrong</a>, who was joined by Singaporean stars Ayden Sng, Desmond Tan, Tyler Ten and Carrie Wong to mark the milestone opening.

Spanning more than 157 square metres, the new boutique reflects Tod's signature blend of timeless Italian elegance and contemporary luxury. Warm wooden displays, Travertine marble tables, soft neutral leather panels and carefully crafted architectural details create an inviting atmosphere inspired by an elegant Italian home.
The Singapore flagship also holds a special distinction as only the fourth location in the world to feature Tod's exclusive J.P. Club, joining boutiques in Milan, Los Angeles and Macao. Designed as a private, residential-inspired shopping space, the club offers clients a more personalised and elevated luxury retail experience.
Adding another layer to the celebration was a live leather artisan demonstration, giving guests a rare opportunity to witness the craftsmanship that has become synonymous with the Italian Maison. Visitors watched skilled artisans showcase the meticulous techniques behind Tod's iconic leather goods while learning more about the brand's dedication to authentic Italian savoir-faire.

The celebrity guests also rolled up their sleeves to try their hand at leather stitching, gaining first-hand experience of the craftsmanship behind each creation. They were also able to explore the Maison's handcrafted pieces up close, experiencing the premium leathers and luxurious suedes that define every Tod's collection.
For the occasion, Becky Armstrong effortlessly embodied the brand's understated sophistication. She wore a striking deep chocolate leather co-ord top and skirt from Tod's Spring/Summer 2026 collection, proving that leather can be just as chic in warmer weather when thoughtfully designed and styled. Completing the look were a smoky eye, nude lips and the elegant T Signature Bag, creating a polished ensemble that perfectly complemented the event.

Before heading back to Thailand, we caught up with Becky for a quick chat. Fresh from making her music debut and continuing to expand her career beyond acting, she joined us for a fun round of "This or That". During our conversation, she opened up about her personal style, favourite fashion trends, memorable Fashion Week experiences, shopping habits and her latest music, including her new single, Stuck in Between.
