Bottega Veneta's 50th anniversary bag collection comprises designs inspired by the archives as well as all-new models

This is a re-edition of the clutch made famous by actress Lauren Hutton who carried it in the movie American Gigolo. It was presented once again by Hutton at the Spring/Summer 2017&nbsp;runway show and will be available exclusively in the Gigolo Red colour featuring a specific engraved tag inside,&nbsp;&lsquo;The Lauren 1980&#39;.

THE LAUREN

The intrecciato motif is found on the Brunito buckle and the multilayered inserts on the body of this new design.

THE DARLING

First introduced in Spring 2003, this compact item now features a seductive combination of grey hues.

THE BV CLUTCH

One of the house&#39;s most iconic bags, it is based on an archival design from the &#39;80s.

THE KNOT

This new model is defined by the three metal buckles on the crocodile leather flap.

THE TRIPLE

This new tote bag is named after the Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina where the house&#39;s Rome boutique is located.

THE LUCINA

This new compact shoulder gem gets its name (which means &#39;double&#39;) from the two metal buckles on the flap.

THE DOPPIA

The first iteration of this bag was introduced in Spring 2002. Now, it is presented in supple Cervo leather.

THE VENETA

The first bag designed by Maier in 2001 gets adorned with flowers in shiny Ayers Livrea, matte Karung, and Nappa leather

THE CABAT

The main feature of this new style is the central metal closure in Brunito engraved with the intrecciato motif.

THE UMBRIA

A new shopping bag that is made from a single piece of smooth French calfskin.

THE TOSCANA

A new version of the bag that was introduced in Spring 2015 and features a closure reminiscent of the Rialto Bridge in Venice, Italy.

THE RIALTINA

Inspired by the elegant shoulder bag introduced in Fall 2005, this version features a body in multicoloured painted python.

THE AMARILLO

The metal closure of this new top handle bag is evocative if the half-moon shape after which it is named.

THE MEZZALUNA
