The Italian fashion house celebrated its milestone 50th anniversary with a showcase of what it does best: leather craft and quiet luxury

A casual scan of Bottega Veneta&#39;s Spring/Summer 2017 collection reaffirmed creative director Tomas Maier&#39;s ethos of creating a brand &ndash;&nbsp;and a brand of luxury &ndash;&nbsp;that is timeless. Presented at Milan&#39;s Brera Fine Arts Academy, the show offered up strong silhouettes in muted tones normally associated with Fall, punctuated with flashes of jewel tones.

Lauren Hutton carried The Lauren 1980,  a re-edition of the iconic clutch made famous during its appearance in the movie American Gigolo (1980)

The re-edition of The Lauren 1980 features the same design and material of the original version

The Lauren 1980 clutch will be available exclusively in the Gigolo Red colour

The German-born designer, who studied mid-century Japanese architecture, held the collection to the same exacting standards and practicality of architural principals. Beyond the meticulous detailing lay an unwavering dedication towards cultivating a refined appreciation for luxury, with elegance as the main tenet. In an era geared towards the &quot;see now, buy now&quot;, the brand remained rooted in its values of presenting a tightly curated collection of classics that transcends seasons.&nbsp;
