Two years after Karl Lagerfeld's cruise show in Seoul, Chanel returns to the city with its Mademoiselle Privé exhibition

Seoul is no&nbsp;stranger to the House of Chanel. After all, the city played host to its Resort 2016 runway show, a collection that bore plenty of Korean influences &ndash; from the traditional hanbok to patchwork techniques, and colourful K-pop-inspired motifs. Two years after its showing at the futuristic Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Chanel has returned to the South Korean capital &ndash; this time, for its Mademoiselle Priv&eacute; exhibition.

This marks the exhibition&#39;s sophomore showing, following its well-received debut in London&#39;s Saatchi Gallery in October 2015. Running until 19 July at D MUSEUM, the Seoul installment is the next chapter of the Mademoiselle Priv&eacute; story &ndash; an ode to the Chanel universe that explores its origins, its creative processes, and everything else in between those world-famous interlocking Cs.

The&nbsp;Mademoiselle Priv&eacute; experience will be a thoroughly&nbsp;multi-sensorial and&nbsp;multi-faceted one that&#39;ll transport visitors deep inside the fascinating world of Chanel. Through a series of installations, the exhibition will primarily shine&nbsp;the spotlight on&nbsp;Gabrielle Chanel&#39;s&nbsp;emblematic creations, as well as&nbsp;Karl Lagerfeld&#39;s take on Chanel&#39;s codes, symbols and icons projected into the future. Visitors will also get the chance to view&nbsp;polaroid portraits of celebs such as G-Dragon, Caroline de Maigret, and Soo Joo Park wearing the &lsquo;Bijoux de Diamants&rsquo; collection &ndash;&nbsp;exhibited for the very first time in Seoul &ndash; and catch&nbsp;screenings of short movies directed by&nbsp;Lagerfeld himself. In addition, the exhibition will hold&nbsp;dedicated&nbsp;Lesage (embroiderer),&nbsp;Lemari&eacute; (feather and flower maker), and perfumery&nbsp;workshops that highlight&nbsp;the craftsmanship and savoir-faire of Chanel.

In an ingenious move to bridge the divide between old and&nbsp;new,&nbsp;traditional and&nbsp;contemporary, Chanel has launched a free Mademoiselle Priv&eacute; mobile app solely dedicated to the exhibition. Through the app, visitors can book a slot on the ticket reservation system, view exclusive teaser content and the&nbsp;latest updates &ndash; all with just a click of a button.
