The Pursuit of Jade actress caused quite the buzz at Gucci&rsquo;s latest fashion launch in Singapore.

Last week, hundreds of fans gathered outside the <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/guccicore-anne-curtis-outfits-new-york-celebrity-fashion-cruise-2027" title="All The Looks Anne Curtis Wore in New York for Gucci Cruise 2027" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gucci</a> store at Marina Bay Sands as the Italian Maison officially launched its Generation <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/gucci-cruise-collection-2027-guccicore-anne-curtis-zhang-linghe-demna-time-square-fashion" title="Demna&rsquo;s &lsquo;GucciCore&rsquo; Is a Love Letter to &lsquo;Everyday&rsquo; New York Street Style" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gucci</a> collection in Singapore. Flying in specially for the event was beloved Chinese actress Tian Xi Wei, who was met with an overwhelming response from local fans eager to catch a glimpse of the rising star.
Known for her role as the butcher&rsquo;s daughter Fan Changyu in the hit Chinese romantic period drama Pursuit of Jade, Tian has quickly built a huge fanbase in Singapore thanks to the show&rsquo;s popularity on Netflix. Her growing popularity was on full display that evening, with fans waiting for hours just to see her arrival.
The Generation Gucci collection brings together elements from different decades of the House, combining archival references with fresh modern propositions. Womenswear tailoring takes centre stage with slim-fit two-piece suits, head-to-toe leather and suede looks, lightweight textured coats, and equestrian-print silk ensembles inspired by Gucci&rsquo;s archival scarves.&nbsp;

For the launch, and completely unfazed by the Singapore heat, Tian wore Generation Gucci Look 15. The look featured a soft light suede shirt with a bow detail, a suede skirt with chain detailing, sand suede high-heeled boots, and the <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/chinese-stars-zhang-ling-he-song-wei-long-and-zhou-yi-ran-with-guccis-paparazzo-b" title="Chinese Stars Zhang Ling He, Song Wei Long and Zhou Yi Ran with Gucci's Paparazzo Bag" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gucci Paparazzo medium top-handle bag</a> in matching sand suede.
It was quite the departure from the humble and traditional wardrobe fans are used to seeing her in on Pursuit of Jade. Instead, Singapore fans got to see Tian embrace a cool, modern and elegant monochrome look with effortless ease.
Speaking about her outfit for the evening, Tian shared that she loved many elements of the look, especially the earrings and the &ldquo;purrybow&rdquo; detailing on the blouse. Still, her top pick of the night was the Paparazzo bag.
&ldquo;It&rsquo;s modern and stylish,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;At the same time, it&rsquo;s very comfortable and convenient to use.&rdquo;

During the event, we also had the chance to chat with Tian about her recent surge in popularity in Singapore and her thoughts on visiting the country for the first time. The actress admitted she was surprised to hear Singaporean fans quoting lines from Pursuit of Jade.
&ldquo;I feel like this has brought me and the audience closer together,&rdquo; she shared.
As for her first impressions of Singapore, Tian said she loved how clean and orderly the country is, while also appreciating the amount of greenery around the city. Here&rsquo;s hoping this won&rsquo;t be her last visit to Singapore.
