“As an artist, I’ve always had to fight that bit more”

<p>Much ink was spilled over Maria Grazia Chiuri&nbsp;being Dior&rsquo;s first female Artistic Director when her hiring was announced. After sending models clad in the now-infamous &quot;We Should All Be Feminists&quot;&nbsp;T-shirts storming down the Spring runway, Chiuri has&nbsp;launched the #TheWomenBehindTheLens project, in which nine female photographers contribute their voices to her fresh vision for the house. In this new video series, we get a more intimate look behind the creative process of the photographers.</p>

<p>Maripol is a designer, stylist and artist-photographer&nbsp;who has shaped the images of several powerful women in pop culture, including&nbsp;Madonna, Grace Jones, and Debbie Harry. In the video, she speaks about the intimacy shared between women and her motto when she&#39;s behind the lens.</p>
