Guided by Virginia Wolf's novel&nbsp;Orlando, Maria Grazia Chiuri presents the women's Fall/Winter 2025 collection inspired by the theme of metamorphosis.

<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/paris-fashion-week-fall-winter-2025-everything-to-know-about-upcoming-shows-calendar" title="Paris Fashion Week FW25: Everything to Know About Upcoming Shows" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Paris Fashion Week</a>&nbsp;is off to the races, and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/step-into-the-new-season-with-dior-s-d-journey-bag-jisoo" title="Step into the New Season with Dior's D-Journey Bag" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dior</a>'s&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/livestream-dior-fall-winter-2025-show-live-paris-fashion-week" title="Watch Dior Fall/Winter 2025 Show Live From Paris Fashion Week" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fall/Winter 2025</a>&nbsp;show kept the energy up. The collection by Creative Director&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/every-look-dior-haute-couture-spring-summer-2025-collection-maria-grazia-chiuri-fashion" title="Maria Grazia Chiuri Tells an Edgy Fairy Tale for Dior Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Maria Grazia Chiuri</a>&nbsp;drew inspiration from the&nbsp;metamorphic powers of fashion in a reveal that felt both effortlessly modern and Elizabethan with each look.
Before the collection was presented, a singular model&nbsp;sat alone on a swing that read &ldquo;Once Upon a Time,&rdquo; peering up to the ceiling in a high-neck frock with ruffly tulle.&nbsp;The catwalk took the shape of a square-shaped arena, with a series of high-tech imagery narrating the show. From&nbsp;a pterodactyl flying over the stage, meteorites falling from above, then fire, ice, and a waterfall of steam from above, the show's natural imagery contrasted the corporal collection.
The show represents <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/dior-spring-summer-2025-collection-paris-fashion-week-show-runway-looks-celebrities-jisoo" title="Dior Brings Timeless Silhouettes With Sporty Edge in Spring/Summer 2025 Collection" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dior</a>'s metamorphosis from the time of Christian Dior's founding of the Maison to Chiuri's reign, and she proposes a women's collection that intertwines cultural references. A play of layers and quotes, it demonstrates how clothes can be a constantly evolving language. Each look blends sensual femininity with androgynous flair in the play between flowing lace dresses topped with structural leather and velvet&nbsp;jackets. Represented is a careful balance between periods, aesthetics, and gender codes all balancing to create the contemporary Dior wearer.&nbsp;Following the influence of Virginia Woolf's novel&nbsp;Orlando, ruffs were a continuous motif in the collection, loosely ornamenting looks in a modern, fluid manner.

Throughout the collection, models wore sporty zippered corsets layered over white collared shirts, which Chiuri believes are the "founding element of an outfit freed from gender stereotypes." There are plenty of utilitarian aspects to the ready-to-wear collection with&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/every-runway-look-versace-fall-winter-2025-collection-show-milan-fashion-week" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trench coats</a>, warm sheepskin and macram&eacute;&nbsp;jackets, and the return of&nbsp;John Galliano's&nbsp;J'Adore Dior t-shirts. Models sauntered across the arena in cropped trousers and berets almost always with a frilly, punctuated collar peaking out of the many different iterations of outerwear.
At the end of the show, models returned to stand in lines and clusters all choreographed by Robert Wilson. Next to one another, each look represented the balancing act Maria Grazia Chiuri has mastered in designing clothes drawing from fantasy, history, fiction, and realism, rendering each outfit an art piece. Like any Dior show, the front row was a spectacle in itself with special guests like Natalie Portman, Lingling, Orm Kornnaphat, <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/style/seventeen-mingyu-first-advertising-campaign-calvin-klein-fall-2024-photos-fashion-celebrity" title="SEVENTEEN's Mingyu Stars in Calvin Klein's Fall 2024 for the First Time" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SEVENTEEN's Mingyu</a> and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/beauty/how-to-get-blackpink-jisoo-youthful-makeup-look-at-dior-spring-summer-2025-haute-couture-show-beauty" title="How to Get BLACKPINK Jisoo's Youthful Look at Dior's SS25 Haute Couture Show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Blackpink</a>'s <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/culture/first-look-k-drama-newtopia-starring-blackpink-jisoo-park-jeong-min-prime-video" title="Your First Look at Zombie Apocalypse K-Drama 'Newtopia' Starring BLACKPINK's Jisoo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jisoo</a>.
