Nicole McLaughlin turns everyday trash into something completely new.

<p style="text-align:justify">Often (and unfortunately) fashion professionals take themselves too seriously and forget that it is also necessary to have fun in their creative processes to develop original objects with more purpose. <p style="text-align:justify">The New York artist shares with her more than 600,000 followers (and counting) her dazzling and utilitarian collections made from what most would call &quot;junk&quot;, like used tennis balls, various plastic packaging, torn clothes, shoelaces and much more.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Her work is so original that it has already caught the attention of big brands such as <a href="https://www.revistalofficiel.com.br/moda/bolsa-hermes-couro-de-cogumelo">Herm&egrave;s</a> and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.revistalofficiel.com.br/fashion-week/prada-conectando-cimento-a-areia">Prada,</a> who invited her for special collaborations. With the French brand, Nicole took some Constance bags, one of the most desired in the world, and made a vest based on it, as well as a pair of sneakers sewn with old bags from the label. With Calvin Klen, the professional made a completely new blouse from gym clothes!</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Graduated in digital media and even without previous experience with design or sewing, she worked at Reebok for four years. It was at the company where she understood how everything is done, especially the processes for building shoes - one of her great passions in the design category.&nbsp;Amidst the thousands of samples found throughout the office, Nicole developed a curiosity as to what she could do with that &quot;junk.&quot;</p>
