In an exclusive video, the creative director of Dior shares her thoughts on the latest collection, presented during the recent Paris Fashion Week

Feminist statements have become a hallmark of Maria Grazia Chiuri&#39;s collections for Dior, and the <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/dior-revisits-feminism-with-a-unique-take-for-fall-2020">Fall 2020 show</a> was no exception. In collaboration with the Claire Fontaine collective, the set was decorated with bold neon phrases like &quot;Consent&quot;, &quot;Women Raise The Uprising&quot;, and &quot;Patriarchy Kills Love&quot;, which felt particularly meaningful seeing as the show took place less than a day following Harvey Weinstein&#39;s guilty verdicts.&nbsp;

While the show reflected the turbulent times we live in now, in the exclusive video below, Chiuri shares that Dior&#39;s Fall 2020 collection came from a deeply personal place. Her starting point was a pair of photographs of her mother taken when the designer was a teenager (the period in Rome when she first became exposed to the women&#39;s rights movement). Chiuri also mined her own teenage diary, along with founding couturier Christian Dior&#39;s The Little Dictionary Of Fashion.&nbsp;

The result was a coherent collection of 85 looks featuring denim jackets and jeans, cotton and leather jumpsuits, fluid dresses, fishnets and combat boots, a logo tee reading &quot;I Say I&quot;, and Monsieur Dior&#39;s favourite checked pattern (and more).&nbsp;
