The Italian fashion house continues to lean into understated elegance.

A long, rectangular room set the scene for the <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/thai-actress-bella-ranee-campen-joins-fendi-family-ambassador" title="Thai Actress Bella Ranee Campen Joins the Fendi Family" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fendi</a> show with an all-white runway framed by magnified, giant-sized Fendi accessories sculpted in white plaster (including a sculpted Multi Bag which was first introduced in the <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/fendi-fall-winter-2023-haute-couture-every-look-runway-pfw" title="The Devil is in The Details at Fendi's Fall/Winter 2023 Haute Couture Show">Fall/Winter 2023</a> collection), reminiscent of ancient Roman pillars. While the setting may have been grand, the collection was much more inclined to ease.
"When I am in Rome, every day I walk from the hotel to the Colosseum wearing my ear pods. It&rsquo;s like listening to a soundtrack to an imaginary film with <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/fendi-tiffany-and-co-join-forces-for-the-baguette-hand-in-hand-initiative" title="Fendi and Tiffany &amp; Co. Honour the Baguette with a Special Collaboration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fendi</a> characters I see along the way,"&nbsp;said Kim Jones, Fendi Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear, per the show notes.
"In Rome, there is an elegance in ease and not caring what anybody else thinks &ndash; that is real luxury. In this collection, I wanted to reflect that. It is about women who dress for themselves and their own lives, I see it with Silvia and Delfina all of the time. It&rsquo;s not about the spectacle of being looked at but the reality of wearing and the confidence and chicness that comes with it. It&rsquo;s not about being something but being someone," Jones continued.
Female sensibilities with masculine tailoring are combined, with Jones' chase for comfort and quiet confidence informing everything about the garments: oversized car coats; deconstructed knits reinvented as asymmetric dresses; satin column dresses. Beyond the silhouettes, intentional design details added a sense of elevation and modernity, such as the excess fabric on dresses and sweaters that was a playful take on proportions or the folded-over curtain waistbands of tailored trousers.&nbsp;
Gracing the runway was a colour palette of earth tones, baby blue, and sunset orange, in the form of monochromatic and colour-blocked moments. Also present was Jones' choice to use logomania, incorporating the FF logo pattern in the jewellery and clothing. Of course, you can't talk about <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/living/feeling-the-fendissime-at-fendi-villa-medici" title="Feeling The Fendissime at Fendi's Villa Medici" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fendi</a> without mentioning its bags. Favorites such as the Peekaboo, Baguette, and Origami were carried on the catwalk, with the introduction of the new Flip, a shopper that folds into a clutch.
Never one to be short of A-list attendees, sitting front row were stars such as Demi Moore,&nbsp;Cara Delevigne, Suki Waterhouse, <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/culture/janice-man-a-red-carpet-star-from-hong-kong" title="Janice Man, A Red Carpet Star From Hong Kong" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Janice Man</a>, and Christina Ricci, alongside supermodels, <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/culture/supermodel-naomi-campbell-at-50-welcomes-daughter-on-instagram" title="Supermodel Naomi Campbell at 50 Welcomes Daughter on Instagram" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Naomi Campbell</a>,&nbsp;Linda Evangelista,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/stella-mccartney-summer-2019-campaign-with-kaia-gerber-kate-moss" title="Stella McCartney Enlists Kaia Gerber &amp; Kate Moss For SS19 Campaign" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kate Moss</a>, and Amber Valletta.
