&ldquo;A New York Moment&rdquo; is all about the preppy Americana style with a sophisticated twist.

After sitting out the fashion week calendar for nearly two years, <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/mickey-and-friends-glenn-yong-tasha-low-tommy-hilfiger-disney-tommy-collection" target="_blank" title="Mickey and Friends &mdash; Glenn Yong, Tasha Low and Tommy Hilfiger&rsquo;s Disney X Tommy Collection" rel="noopener">Tommy Hilfiger</a> has finally made its return to <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/young-designers-new-york-fashion-week-nyfw-fall-winter-2024" target="_blank" title="Young Designers to Watch at New York Fashion Week" rel="noopener">New York Fashion Week</a>. Dubbed &ldquo;A New York Moment,&rdquo; the luxury brand&rsquo;s Fall/Winter 2024 collection is an ode to Hilfiger&rsquo;s humble beginnings in New York City.&nbsp;
While his eponymous label has made its mark as a global fashion brand, it was important for Hilfiger to pay homage to the city where it all began. &ldquo;As a young designer, [New York City] was the birthplace of my vision. The pulse of the city, its culture of confidence and openness, has fueled the brand since the very beginning,&rdquo; Hilfiger remarked in a release. Thus, the show served as &ldquo;a modern-day expression of classic American cool through the eyes of the ultimate American dreamer,&rdquo; according to the brand.&nbsp;
Set against the backdrop of the <a href="https://www.oysterbarny.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Grand Central Oyster Bar</a>&mdash;completely transformed into a real-life Tommy Club&mdash;with Questlove controlling the beats, the Fall/Winter 2024 runway showcased the quintessential reds, whites, and blues synonymous with the brand. Alongside the classic Hilfiger colors, the collection featured a crisp neutral palette that resonates with the understated yet chic sensibilities of uptown New York. The presentation exuded a modern elevation of the preppy Americana style for which Tommy Hilfiger is renowned. Sporty elements permeated the collection, with sports coats, peacoats, corduroy suits, varsity jackets, and caps imbuing the looks with a dynamic, effortlessly cool vibe that resonates with the spirit of a true New Yorker.&nbsp;
The show closed with a surprise performance from Jon Batiste.
