Raf Simons continues to showcase his vision of New Americana with another collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation

Calvin Klein&nbsp;205W39NYC &mdash; the label that everyone has been watching closely since&nbsp;Raf Simons was named its chief creative officer &mdash; has just unveiled its Pre-Fall 2018 collection.

The main line under the Calvin Klein family and the brainchild of Raf Simons, the 205W39NYC collection is one that continuously showcases Raf&#39;s vision and aesthetics of the &quot;New Americana&quot;. For this season, Raf has, once again, engaged two organisations to further realise his vision: The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and Pendleton Woolen Mills.

Part of Calvin Klein&#39;s <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/calvin-klein-the-andy-warhol-foundation-partnership">ongoing collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts,</a> this collection features&nbsp;a series of printed styles that revives many of Andy Warhol&#39;s masterpieces.

Among them are&nbsp;the vivid Warhol florals and&nbsp;images of the American flag lensed in stark black and white against open skies, all of which are incorporated into the men&#39;s and women&#39;s collection.

From men&#39;s tank tops and denim featuring the American flag to the black-and-white floral-printed bags and boots, the marriage between Warhol and Calvin Klein is one we are most excited for every season.

The Warhol State of Mind

Warhol aside, the Pre-Fall 2018 collection also saw the collaboration of the Calvin Klein label and&nbsp;American heritage brand Pendleton Woolen Mills.

Typically&nbsp;worked into its&nbsp;line&nbsp;of saddle blankets, the craftsmanship of&nbsp;Pendleton Woolen Mills has now been translated into ready-to-wear in the form of outerwear and bags for both men and women.

Applauded for its representation of the mythology of American cowboys,&nbsp;Native Americans, settlers, coeds, skaters and The Beach Boys alike, the masterpieces born between the two brands perfectly fit Raf&#39;s ideology of &quot;New Americana.&quot;

Post Modernity in Wool

Since his appointment in 2016, Raf&nbsp;has continued to challenge conventional mindsets of fashion. He is&nbsp;a visionary who is not afraid to marry provocative creativity (from the likes of Warhol) with American tradition and heritage (that of Pendleton and the house of Calvin Klein itself),&nbsp;all whilst breaking every rule in the fashion game.

So who better to bring life to the collection than Raf&#39;s longtime collaborators,&nbsp;Belgian stylist&nbsp;Olivier Rizzo and photographer Willy Vanderperre?
