Gabriela Hearst is Chloé's new Creative Director following the exit of Natacha Ramsay-Levi.

Fashion designer <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/gabriela-hearst-pre-fall-2020-ballerinas" target="_blank">Gabriela Hearst</a> is the new Creative Director at <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/chloe-spring-2019" target="_blank">Chlo&eacute;</a>, according to the brand&#39;s CEO Riccardo Bellini. Last week, former Creative Director&nbsp;Natacha Ramsay-Levi <a href="https://www.harpersbazaar.com/fashion/designers/a34860879/natacha-ramsay-levi-departs-chloe/" target="_blank">announced</a> that she would be leaving the company after four years leading the French label.&nbsp;

As the current head of her eponymous label, which showed at Paris&nbsp;Fashion Week for the first time during the <a href="https://fashionista.com/2020/10/gabriela-hearst-spring-2021-collection#&amp;gid=ci0270e04400002779&amp;pid=gabriela-hearst-spring-2021-collection-17" target="_blank">Spring/Summer 2021</a> season, she&nbsp;is known for her dedication to sustainability through biodegrable and recycled materials, as well as minimal to no waste policies. Her <a href="https://wwd.com/runway/spring-ready-to-wear-2020/new-york/gabriela-hearst/review/">Spring/Summer 2020</a> collection made headlines as the first carbon-neutral fashion show. She <a href="https://www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/article/gabriela-hearst-luxury-out-of-waste" target="_blank">stated</a> in earlier this year that she plans to stop using virgin materials by 2022 and 80% deadstock by 2023. Hearst&#39;s commitment to the environment has been a cornerstone of her work, something she plans to carry on in her new role.

In a press release, the Uruguay native&nbsp;spoke on her vision for her new role, as well as her appreciation for the women who preceded her.&nbsp;&ldquo;I am grateful for an opportunity at such a beloved brand as Chlo&eacute;,&quot; said the designer. &quot;I am thankful to Natacha Ramsay-Levi and all the other extraordinary designers that have come before her and helped build on the purposeful vision of Gaby Aghion. I am excited for the opportunity to work under the leadership of Riccardo Bellini and support him in his commitment to create a business that is socially conscious and in balance with our environment. I am also humbled to be able to work with the Chlo&eacute; team to help execute this beautiful vision in creative and accountable ways.&quot;

Bellini shared his excitement on the Hearst&#39;s&nbsp;appointment, stating, &quot;I have always admired her vibrant creative energy and exquisite sense of quality and craft. Her powerful vision of more responsible fashion truly embodies the values and sense of commitment of today&#39;s Chlo&eacute; women.&quot;

Hearst will continue in her role as Creative Director of her own brand, and her debut&nbsp;collection for Chlo&eacute; will be released&nbsp;in March 2021.
