Givenchy’s bag collection gets a bewitching addition in the form a new haute-couture-inspired accessory. Here's what you need to know about it.

Introduced in Pre-Fall 2019, the Mystic bag captures the allure and contradictions of Clare Waight Keller&rsquo;s collections for <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/givenchy-spring-summer-2019-collection-video-i-am-your-mirror-lea-colombo">Givenchy</a>. It is built with a structured silhouette in calf leather, yet topped with a graceful V-shaped flap &mdash; making it at once soft and sophisticated, powerful and restrained. More contrasts abound on the inside, where you&rsquo;ll find a suede lining in a different shade from the bag&rsquo;s fa&ccedil;ade.

IT PLAYS WITH CONTRASTS

With its refined shape, the Mystic bag boasts ample room for carrying your belongings. There&rsquo;s also a handy flat pocket on the back to keep your essentials close. The Mystic bag works its magic well enough as a handbag, but you can also transform it into a crossbody with a detachable and adjustable strap.

Like to keep your stuff hidden from prying eyes? The flap of the Mystic bag does just that, whether you carry it open or closed. The most enticing part of it is the stylized double-G clasp that remains partially covered by the flap, creating an aura of secrecy.

There are other details meant to be seen, however. The Mystic bag is lined with hand-made topstitching and hand-painted edges. It also features a soft handle impressively made with three layers: suede, calf leather and hand-applied bomb&eacute; cushion.

And if you wish, the bag can be adorned even further with large, gold-finish charms in the shape of a dice, a whistle or a medal covered by a leather sheath. If not, the bag stands out on its own in any of its available colours: black, natural, desert, storm grey, aubergine, pale pink, yellow and lichen.
