The Italian Fashion House&rsquo;s Spring Summer 2022 Collection thrust us back into the era of minimal coverage.

Last October, Miuccia Prada sent fashion aficionados into a frenzy when she hinted at the return of the infamous low rise. Miu Miu&rsquo;s Spring/Summer 2022 Collection definitely jolted us back to the early '00s, where low rise jeans and pleated mini skirts once ruled every it-girls&rsquo; wardrobe. Think Destiny Child, Paris Hilton, and Britney Spears, all of whom were the epitome of that unruly '00s fashion era that we know and love.

There were mainly two responses following Miu Miu&rsquo;s RTW show, either fear or excitement, but all gathered together under the sentiment of wondering whether this is an official comeback or not. 
Given today&rsquo;s attempt to move the fashion industry towards a more body positive and body inclusive narrative, the return of a style that once further inspired the &ldquo;thinspiration&rdquo; discourse has definitely received some pushback and created a divide within the community. Although many have stated that they will not be participating in the resurrection of the trend as a response to Miu Miu's show, trendsetters and fashion icons couldn't help but give the statement their own touch.&nbsp;

Fast forward to January 2022, and the cool girls of today have definitely embraced the return of the low rise. How could they not when Hailey Bieber is seen sporting Miu Miu&rsquo;s iconic micro mini skirt alongside 'Squid Game' star Lee Yoo-mi, and Emma Corrin from 'The Crown' in the brand&rsquo;s latest campaign?
Following suit, influencers and celebrities alike have been spotted rocking the growing trend. For example, Bella Hadid's effortlessly styled low rise pleated skirts and jeans as her off-duty model look.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Devon Carlson, entrepreneur and friend of Hadid&rsquo;s, also seemed to have fully adopted the style as her Instagram boasts a myriad of low rise pants, micro-mini skirts and baby tees.

And thanks to Miuccia Prada who finally gave the low rise a refreshed high fashion treatment, we can now admire some stunning low rise styles from our favourite actresses' red carpet looks like Sydney Sweeney in Miu Miu or Zendaya in Vera Wang.&nbsp;

It is safe to say that we can either blame (or thank) Miuccia Prada for the resurgence of such an iconic and talked-about style. If you want to have your go at the trend, pair your favourite low rise anything with a silk scarf top or a cropped shirt like these influencers below.
