Don’t be fooled by its minimalist design, Le Smart is the result of over 30 steps performed by hand by expert leatherworkers: cutting with precision, paring and dyeing the edges of the skin, assembly, stitching and incorporating the bag’s characteristic adjustable belt detail, which is finished with the iconic bamboo jewel-clasp. Both a design element and functional detail, which has been perfected through input of the design team, sketches, technical drawings and prototypes, the belt allows Le Smart to morph in style — when open, it grants a relaxed and casual look, and when pulled tighter and fastened, creates a defined silhouette.
