The Spanish-born designer and handbag whizz will work alongside Nicolas Ghesquière

<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/louis-vuitton-fall-2020-runway-show-or-baroque-costume-drama">Louis Vuitton</a> has named Johnny Coca as the&nbsp;new leather goods director of&nbsp;women&#39;s fashion. Starting June 2, the handbag extraordinaire&nbsp;will bring his creativity and expertise to the famed French house, working on accessories alongside Nicolas Ghesqui&egrave;re. He will be responsible for the Maison&#39;s high-end leather goods, bags, eyewear, and special orders.&nbsp;

Coca&#39;s appointment brings him full circle in his career, marking his return to the same label where he first started out in 1996.

&ldquo;I would like to thank Delphine [Arnault], and the LVMH Group for their renewed trust and I am very honoured to return to this prestigious Maison, a symbol of travel and invitation to dream, where imagination meets innovation and the highest standards of excellence. It is with pride that I join Nicolas Ghesqui&egrave;re and the Louis Vuitton teams to further develop the women&#39;s handbag collections.&quot;&nbsp;

The Spanish designer&#39;s r&eacute;sum&eacute; includes stints at <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/a-triomphe">Celine</a>, where he worked under <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/phoebe-philo-comeback">Phoebe Philo</a>, and at <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/think-green-the-portobello-bag-from-mulberry">Mulberry</a>, where he served as <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/mulberry-bags-interview-with-creative-director-johnny-coca-on-reinventing-the-bayswater">creative director</a> for five years.
