Meet Alexander McQueen’s Newest Seal Bag This Fall/Winter 2023
Power meets plush in the British fashion house’s latest handbag campaign imagery starring Liu Wen and Yseult.
Alexander McQueen has always pushed the envelope in fashion, playing with shifts in silhouettes, experimentation and exploration. This season, the British maison’s arsenal of signature bags sees a new addition: the small Seal bag. Covered in supple Seal quilted leather, the Seal bag returns this Fall/Winter 2023 in a more compact variation. Lensed by David Sims, the campaign stars supermodel Liu Wen and French singer-songwriter Yseult draped in plush leather.
The Seal emblem of Alexander McQueen, a dissected Tudor rose, takes centrestage with the accessory, finding its place embedded in the satchel’s leather body and metal hardware. True to the love for subversion that McQueen as a designer embodied, the Seal bag toes the line between elegance and strength. The rounded edges and soft leather bring a soft grace, against the hard cut-out Seal closure.
For the new season of Fall/Winter 2023, McQueen debuts a more compact version of their Seal bag. The small Seal bag comes in white, red and black, a range of classic colours for a statement bag. The handbag comes with a detachable shoulder strap and an adjustable leather chain, so you can wear it crossbody, on your shoulder or clutch in your hands.
