On 10 December, the visionary Italian designer will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award from the British Fashion Council. 

Joining the ranks of Anna Wintour and <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/see-the-full-list-of-2018-cfda-awards-nominees-and-honorees">Donatella Versace</a>, Miuccia Prada will be honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award&nbsp;at this year&#39;s <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/full-list-of-fashion-awards-2018-nominations-kaia-gerber-bella-hadid">Fashion Awards</a>, organized by the British Fashion Council. The Italian designer will receive her&nbsp;accolade at the award ceremony on 10 December, held in partnership with Swarovski&nbsp;at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The award serves to recognize Miuccia&#39;s remarkable contributions to the fashion industry as Creative Director of both <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/meet-pradamalia-prada-christmas-collection-2018-collectibles-keychain-tricks">Prada</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/miu-miu-2018-christmas-holiday-gifts-collection-campaign-starring-elle-fanning">Miu Miu</a>. Over the last four decades,&nbsp;the designer has consistently combined highly conceptual ideas with covetable products through <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/prada-resort-2019-campaign-willy-vanderperre-sora-choi">her collections</a> &mdash; no mean feat, and one that transformed her family&#39;s small leather goods house into a fashion powerhouse brand.&nbsp;

Miuccia has also&nbsp;proven time and time again to be at the forefront of innovation in fashion by predicting trends way before her peers (luxury athleisure? <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/prada-linea-rossa-launch-fall-winter-2018">Prada did it first</a>). Then there are those&nbsp;moments when&nbsp;she turned the fashion industry on its head, most notably&nbsp;by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion-week/prada-fall-winter-2018-runway-show-by-miuccia-prada-in-fondazione-prada-milan-review-photo-gallery">introducing&nbsp;nylon as a symbol of luxury</a>. It&#39;s little wonder why Miuccia is one of only two living fashion designers to have have been honoured at the <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/met-gala-2019-costume-institute-theme-details-revealed-anna-wintour-lady-gaga">Met Gala</a>.

Aside from&nbsp;receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award, Miuccia is&nbsp;also in the running for Accessories Designer of the Year alongside <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/lana-del-rey-jared-leto-new-faces-of-gucci-guilty-fragrance-campaign">Gucci&#39;s Alessandro Michele</a> and Maria Grazia Chiuri of <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/baby-dior-spring-summer-2019-collection-travel-inspired-clothing-for-girls-and-boys">Dior</a>. Her eponymous label, Prada, is also up for Brand of the Year.
