You may have spotted her designs most recently on Blackpink&#39;s&nbsp;&nbsp;Jennie Kim, who wore a matching pantsuit set by Moon Choi at her<a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CAUbBkAggXb/"> recent launch of&nbsp;#Jentlehome with Gentle Monster in Seoul</a>. Though her exact outfit has <a href="https://moonchoistudio.com/">already sold out,</a>&nbsp;there&#39;s more of the same stylish, tailored pieces&nbsp;where that came from.

Moon Choi, a New York based designer&nbsp;of&nbsp;Korean descent,&nbsp;has already&nbsp;been&nbsp;making her rounds with the fashion set, and a substantial following at New York Fashion Week&nbsp;with collections that come with masterfully tailored clothes combined with&nbsp;contemporary sensibilities.

It&#39;s time we got in on the secret, too.&nbsp;Here&#39;s what you need to know about the New York-based label.

She&#39;s a gifted designer.

&quot;Previously, Moon has worked with 3.1 Phillip Lim and upon graduating, was announced winner of &#39;&shy;Portfolio of The Year&#39; and finalist of &#39;Designer of the Year in &shy;Womenswear&#39;. Moon was selected to receive the LF USA Scholarship and sponsorships from Jason Wu Fabric, 3.1 Phillip Lim Leather and The Shoe Polytechnic (Politecnico Calzaturiero). She was also selected as a semi-finalist for the Vfiles Academy Prize and the CFDA Liz Claiborne Design Scholarship Award. Lastly, she was selected as a finalist of CFDA + 2016 Design Graduates,&quot; <a href="https://moonchoistudio.com/pages/about">it states on her website</a>.

Her clothes are self described to &quot;always blur the lines between masculine and feminine&quot;.

Her collections consist of a&nbsp;dreamy lineup of boxy suit coats that emphasises silouhettes and tailoring. Her inspiration for this&nbsp;goes far back to her&nbsp;childhood when she would watch her father dress for the office.&nbsp;&ldquo;Every time he left the house, he would come out in a clean suit,&rdquo; she says<a href="https://www.vogue.com/article/moon-choi-spring-2018-lookbook-korean-designer-profile-genderless"> in an interview.</a> &ldquo;I started to look at how the clothes formed his identity and attitude&rdquo;.&nbsp;

At the same time, the designer sought to find freedom within her creations, where in a place such as Korea, still maintains rigid gender standards to this day.&nbsp;

She cites blazers and outerwear as the pieces she enjoys making the most.

The brand plans to expand to accessories in the future.&nbsp;

As the label is still relatively fresh, they&#39;ve been focusing on balancing&nbsp;consistent brand messaging while delivering high-quality products.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;...but once we have good grounding, I&rsquo;d love to launch accessories such as handbags, shoes and jewelry to build out the outfit,&quot; <a href="https://www.designscene.net/2019/08/designer-to-watch-moon-choi.html">says Choi.</a>
