If 2019’s music could be represented visually, our May issue is it.

With K-pop still dominating the world&rsquo;s music charts (see: Blackpink&rsquo;s single Kill this Love and BTS&rsquo; album Map of the Soul: Persona), it only makes sense that the cover star of our music issue is the electric South Korean DJ Peggy Gou.

Speaking of electric, the issue&rsquo;s pages are filled with musicians and music-inspired offerings. And there are plenty this season &ndash; having recently covered Gucci&rsquo;s Zumi bag (named after Los Angeles-based experimental musician, Zumi Rosow) and Versace&rsquo;s 2Chainz sneakers, we&rsquo;re now grooving to the latter&rsquo;s latest Jennifer Lopez-influenced Chain Reaction sneakers.

The sonic sensations of now &ndash; from Billie Eilish to Kacey Musgraves &ndash; have also left a big dent with their style, which gives rise to our shopping pages this month. The other on-theme personalities you&rsquo;ll find in the issue: Zendaya with her Tommy Hilfiger collab, Susie Cave with her feminine dresses, and our local dapper rapper Mean.xs

Also expect a preview of Pre-fall 2019&rsquo;s biggest and best &ndash; highlights of the debut collection from Bottega Veneta&rsquo;s Daniel Lee, Givenchy&rsquo;s major Mystic bag, Coach&rsquo;s efforts to update Rexy by working with four contemporary Chinese artists, and more.
