Balenciaga revealed&nbsp;Pierpaolo Piccioli, formerly at Valentino,&nbsp;as its new creative director.

Monday afternoon,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/balenciaga-spring-summer-2025-collection-show-paris-fashion-week-photo-looks" title="Demna Goes Back to the Beginning for Balenciaga's Spring/Summer 2025 Show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Balenciaga</a>&nbsp;revealed that Pierpaolo Piccioli is its new creative director.
He will begin his new role&mdash;which will include helming ready-to-wear across men's and women's&mdash;in addition to couture at the Kering-owned fashion brand on July 10. His first collection for Balenciaga will come in October during&nbsp;Paris Fashion Week.&nbsp;

In all its phases, while constantly evolving and changing, it has never lost track of the House&rsquo;s aesthetic values. What I am receiving is a brand full of possibilities that is incredibly fascinating," Piccioli said in a statement.
Piccioli's last post was at Valentino, where he led the Italian fashion house for a whopping 25 years. At Balenciaga, he is succeeding&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/demna-leaves-balenciaga-to-join-gucci-new-artistic-director-fashion-news" target="_blank" title="Demna Leaves Balenciaga to be Gucci's New Artistic Director" rel="noopener">Demna</a>, the Georgian designer who brought his subversive designs to Balenciaga starting in 2015 and co-founded&nbsp;Vetements.
"I must first and foremost thank Demna; I&rsquo;ve always admired his talent and vision. I couldn&rsquo;t ask for a better passing of the torch. This gives me the chance to shape a new version of the maison, adding another chapter with a new story. I am grateful for the trust that Fran&ccedil;ois-Henri, Francesca and Gianfranco are giving me. We were effortlessly on the same page from the start, and that is the best way to begin something new," Piccioli added.

Demna will officially exit his role at the helm of the house following a final couture show in June. He was recently announced as&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/demna-leaves-balenciaga-to-join-gucci-new-artistic-director-fashion-news" target="_blank" title="Demna Leaves Balenciaga to be Gucci's New Artistic Director" rel="noopener">Gucci&rsquo;s next creative director</a>, succeeding <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/sabato-de-sarno-leaves-gucci-after-two-years-as-artistic-director-fashion-news" title="Sabato De Sarno Leaves Gucci After Two Years as Artistic Director" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sabato De Sarno</a>, and will begin that role shortly after the June show.
The fashion industry has been in flux, with a litany of&nbsp;creative director shake-ups&nbsp;redefining the DNA of legacy houses. From designers trading seats to surprise exits and new appointments, the carousel of talent has kept both insiders and fans on their toes. Among the most closely watched vacancies was&nbsp;Balenciaga&mdash;a brand long defined by Demna's disruptive edge. After months of speculation, the house has officially named its next creative director, marking a new era for the storied label.

His creative vision will thrive, and he will perfectly interpret the legacy of Crist&oacute;bal Balenciaga, building on the House&rsquo;s bold creativity, rich heritage and strong culture," Balenciaga CEO Gianfranco Gianangeli said in the statement. "With the expertise of our teams and the dynamic creative energy that has historically driven Balenciaga, I look forward to what we will build together."
As Balenciaga enters a new chapter, all eyes are now Piccioli who will step into one of fashion&rsquo;s most influential roles.
