The maison rings in the new year with a limited edition Year of the Rat capsule

The beginning of the year always excites with the promise of new beginnings, but the imminent arrival of 2020 is particularly momentous, as it denotes not just a new year, but also a new decade, and the start of a new cycle in the Chinese zodiac. Considering the significance of the event, it&rsquo;s no wonder Givenchy has chosen to celebrate this occasion with a capsule devoted to the star of the coming year, the rat.

The limited edition collection revolves around a special Year of the Rat motif: a four-lobed design comprising four rats in undulating profile, overlaid with graphic lines for a labyrinthine effect. Evocative of the maison&rsquo;s signature 4-G logo as well as the peach blossoms that symbolise romance and prosperity during this time, the motif features on a selection of apparel in black and white. For women, it blooms pink on a t-shirt, cropped sweatshirt, V-necked jumper, and floor-length parka, while for men it strikes in red on a t-shirt, hoodie, sweater, and windbreaker.
