Without skipping a beat, TWICE’s SANA shifts from the group’s recently concluded THIS IS FOR World Tour to individual projects including Sana’s Fridge Interview Season 3, and “taking on the new challenge of acting”

It has been three years (too long, we know) since our last photoshoot and chat with <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/culture/sana-on-the-ready-to-be-world-tour-and-the-success-of-twice-and-misamo" title="Cover Story: Sana on the READY TO BE World Tour, and the Success of TWICE and MISAMO">TWICE’s SANA</a>, and the star is taking on more professional challenges than ever before. In mid-July, the pop act wrapped up their year-long THIS IS FOR World Tour, which reportedly drew the largest attendance in history for a K-pop girl group tour in North America. When asked about the most unforgettable moment of the tour, <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/all-celebrities-twice-sana-win-metawin-heart-evangelista-prada-grand-opening-ion-orchard-photos" title="TWICE's Sana, Win Metawin &amp; More Attend Prada's Grand Opening at ION Orchard" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SANA</a> says, “We visited so many cities, but the show that stands out the most to me is the Seoul encore. All of those years came flooding back, making it the most special and emotional performance of all.”
Barely a month after the world tour ended, the star has kicked into high gear as the host of her popular web series, Sana’s Fridge Interview, which is in its third season. Beyond honing her MC skills, the idol is venturing into the new territory of acting. “On my days off, I take acting lessons. It’s a completely new challenge for me, so I’m constantly facing something new and learning step by step,” shares SANA. There could also be a little surprise along the way, before 2026 comes to a close. She teases, “There are still some schedules being finalised for the second half of the year, but there’s one project lined up where fans might react with surprise, ‘Wait, SANA is appearing here?!’ I hope you’ll look forward to it!”

Hi SANA. TWICE’s THIS IS FOR World Tour concluded in Seoul on 12 July. The tour set several records, including becoming the first K-pop girl group tour to have a fully open 360-degree seating at every venue, and drawing the largest attendance ever for a K-pop girl group tour in North America. Looking back, after travelling on the tour for almost a year, how do you feel? Is there anything you miss most about the tour? 
It has been about a month since the tour ended — as of the day of this shoot — and I feel so relieved. After spending a full year giving this tour our all, I want to tell myself, the members, and all our staff that we’ve worked so hard and that I’m incredibly proud of us.
We had our final show in Korea, and during that concert, I felt a kind of emotion I hadn’t experienced anywhere else on the tour. Standing on stage, I found myself looking back on all the years we’ve spent performing together, and I felt so deeply grateful for every bit of it. Overwhelmed by so many different emotions and memories, I was just genuinely happy to be on stage.
We visited so many cities, but the show that stands out the most to me is the Seoul encore. All of those years came flooding back, making it the most special and emotional performance of all. So, I’d definitely choose the Seoul encore.

What have you been up to since the end of the tour? 
Recently, I’ve been focusing mainly on individual projects that I couldn’t do while on tour. My routine is quite balanced right now — I’ll have a shoot, take a couple of days off, and then have another schedule, followed by a few days off. On my days off, I take acting lessons. It’s a completely new challenge for me, so I’m constantly facing something new and learning step by step.
You’ve started on Sana’s Fridge Interview Season 3. What do you like most about doing the show and what can we expect from this season? 
One of the things I love most about Sana’s Fridge Interview is being able to share genuine relationships with people close to me — relationships that we’ve mostly only known about between ourselves — with a wider audience. It also gives me a chance to meet senior and junior artists I don’t usually cross paths with, as well as people from different fields, like actors. Being able to share these different relationships is really special, and I hope their fans enjoy seeing that side of us as well. Getting to meet so many different people and hear their stories firsthand is also something I really enjoy, so I always look forward to the days when we shoot Sana’s Fridge Interview.

Did you ever imagine that you’d be doing three seasons of the show? 
I honestly never expected the show to continue all the way to Season 3. I originally joined as a special MC for just one episode, and I didn’t really expect to do more at the time. But thanks to the Fridge Interview team, and the viewers for enjoying the show and supporting me, we’ve been able to continue working together for this long. The team even waited for me while I was away on the world tour, and I’m always so thankful for their support.
What would we most likely find in SANA’s fridge at the moment? 
Soy milk! I ordered a few different kinds a few days ago, and I’m currently testing them out to see which flavour I’d like to drink regularly.

It is the start of a new fashion season. The last time we spoke, in 2023, you mentioned that your favourite items were eyewear and shoes. What are you loving at the moment? 
Lately, I’ve been drawn to white bags. Looking around my closet, I realised I don’t have a nice, larger white bag, so these days, I’ve been looking for one.
We are coming to the last quarter of 2026. What can your fans expect from you before the year comes to a close? 
There are still some schedules being finalised for the second half of the year, but there’s one project lined up where fans might react with surprise, ”Wait, SANA is appearing here?!” I hope you’ll look forward to it!
Is there anything you would like to do or accomplish before the end of the year? 
Since taking on the new challenge of acting, I’ve been putting my all into my lessons. My biggest goal right now is simply to keep learning and enjoying the process without giving up. It’s also been a while since my last shoot with L’OFFICIEL Singapore and Malaysia, so I’m really curious and excited to see how this story turns out and how fans will react to it. I can’t wait for it to be released!
