Tom Ford Fall/Winter 2018
It'd be easy to dismiss Tom Ford's Fall/Winter 2018 collection as a throwback to the '80s. After all, all the key signs were present: animal prints, sequins, sweatshirts, and Jane Fonda-esque leggings in neon colours. Even the mood was decidedly exuberant; models marched down the runway to the beat of The Pointer Sisters like an army of power dressers on a warpath.
While high-octane glamour is obviously one of Ford's strongest suits (thanks to his tenure at Gucci), so is his eye for detail. The tuxedo coats and power suits sported impeccable tailoring while the elegant all-black ensembles are clearly destined for the red carpet. And amidst the acid hues and sequin-crazy excess, Ford didn't miss the opportunity to lend his voice to the #TimesUp movement with the show's standout accessory: a handbag that boldy declared 'Pussy Power' (look 15).
