For its first show in New York, the Italian brand revived its most famous looks.

If there&#39;s one thing to&nbsp;take away from its recent shows, it&#39;s that <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/versace-goes-fur-free">Versace</a> never goes out of style. Nobody knows that better than Donatella Versace, who has been mining the Italian fashion house&#39;s archives and bringing back everything from <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion-week/versace-spring-summer-2019">quintessential Versace prints</a> to full looks from Gianni Versace&#39;s &#39;90s collections. For Pre-Fall 2019, she did no different.

Flipping the calendar back to 1994, Versace returned to undoubtedly its most iconic creation from that year: the&nbsp;Safety Pin gown, which&nbsp;actress Elizabeth Hurley famously&nbsp;wore to the <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/best-looks-venice-film-festival-2018">red carpet</a>, redefining sexiness in the process. Its modern iteration&nbsp;comes with the same&nbsp;revealing slit, though this time it&#39;s held together by new pin-clips and features a long, sheer sleeve on one side.

There was&nbsp;another history-making dress to be found in the PF19 collection: a&nbsp;green plunge-neck dress from Versace&#39;s Spring 2000 collection, AKA Jennifer Lopez&#39;s Grammys dress that was so widely searched for that it <a href="https://www.vogue.co.uk/article/j-lo-green-versace-dress-responsible-for-google-image-search">led to the creation of Google Image Search</a>. This season, Versace&nbsp;has replaced the silk chiffon dress&#39;s leafy palm pattern with a&nbsp;&quot;Love Versace&quot; heart print that&nbsp;was inspired by Jim Dine.

Hearts were a key element of the PF19 collection, appearing on dresses, jumpsuits, pants and Versace&#39;s very own &quot;I Love NY&quot; T-shirt. The latter&nbsp;pays homage to the city where the collection was presented, marking&nbsp;a first for the Italian house. In another&nbsp;nod to the Big Apple, the show&#39;s grand finale featured <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Bq7mUZjgixz/">Gigi Hadid channelling the Statue of Liberty</a>&nbsp;as she walked down the runway with a&nbsp;torch in hand.
