A little street, a little bit rock 'n' roll with a '90s New York vibe

If Versace is the grand dame of opulent&nbsp;Italian glamour, Versus is her younger, more rebellious sister &ndash; a little bit street, a little bit&nbsp;rock &#39;n&#39; roll and sexy as hell.

After this summer&#39;s <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/zayn-malik-versus-versace-mens-womens-capsule-collection-is-finally-here" target="_blank">Zayn x Versus</a> collab, it&#39;s safe to say that&nbsp;Donatella Versace has fully embraced the millennial shift. The Spring/Summer 2018 runway coed cast &ndash; made up of Adwoa Aboah, Issa Lish, and other&nbsp;&uuml;ber cool&nbsp;creatives &ndash;&nbsp;was&nbsp;carefully cultivated to&nbsp;embody the young, defiant Versus youth. And the collection? It was fun,&nbsp;exuberant, and according to Donatella, &quot;...a celebration of the essence of Versus in &#39;90s New York.&quot;

Merely defining it as &#39;streetwear&#39; would be a disservice to the collection. Yes, the urban influences were aplenty but each piece was given the requisite Versace treatment: sharp tailoring, defiantly loud logos and unexpected pairings. Case in point: plaid suits and mini dresses with studded cowboy panels, sleek knits and sportswear with graphic panels, swimwear as streetwear, semi-deconstructed fringed Western jackets, and the reappearance of a Versace archive print in pistachio green.
