Through the veins of Cartier runs a disruptive spirit that has informed the Maison&rsquo;s creations for over a century. Even a cursory glance at house history reveals a wealth of groundbreaking gems (in every sense of the word), from the bold <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/jewellery/panthere-de-cartier-an-icon-in-the-spotlight">panther motifs</a> of the art deco period to the avant-garde <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/jewellery/cartier-juste-un-clou-nail-bracelet-torque-necklace-new-jewelry-collection-2017">Juste Un Clou</a> of the &rsquo;70s to the recent <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/jewellery/new-clash-de-cartier-channels-the-clash-of-attitudes">Clash de Cartier</a> series. It is this desire to shake things up that prompted Cartier to launch the Magnitude high jewellery collection last year, which takes the road less travelled in bijoux by marrying precious stones with ornamental hard stones.

Exploring the contrasts between opacity and transparency, pure colour and nuance, earth and light, Cartier daringly juxtaposes diamond and rutilated quartz, sapphire and matrix opal, emerald and rock crystal, and more on megawatt statement necklaces, earrings, cuffs, rings, and secret watches.

Now, the Maison introduces a new bracelet to the Magnitude collection, highlighting the beauty of emerald in its untouched state. A member of the beryl family, emerald crystallises in hexagonal shapes &ndash; a distinct characteristic that the jewellery house celebrates in this singularly stunning design. 25 raw emeralds totalling 38.81 carats are mounted on an 18K white gold frame, which mirrors the natural structure of the stone, and accented with rose-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds. Playing with geometry as well as light, the bracelet is an emphatic display of Cartier&rsquo;s peerless imagination and savoir-faire.
