Chaumet's new exhibition in Monaco provides a rare opportunity to get a glimpse of its heritage, starting from the 1780s. 

On 11 July, Chaumet hosted a grand private viewing of its exhibition, Chaumet in Majesty:&nbsp;Jewels of Sovereign&nbsp;Since 1780 -&nbsp;a regal display of jewellery, including the iconic tiara and other royal&nbsp;jewels under the patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II.

The exhibition is set in the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, and its grand preview played host to many a-list celebrities like Natalie Portman, Song Hye-Kyo, Natalia Vodianova and more. The stars were decked out in&nbsp;Chaumet jewels, with pieces like the Chaumet Soir de F&ecirc;te necklace worn by Natalie Portman, the classy Jos&eacute;phine Aigrette earrings on Song Hye-Kyo, Jos&eacute;phine Aigrette Imp&eacute;riale timepiece donned by Natalia Vodianova and more. They also attended a grand gala dinner after, where they got a first-hand look at&nbsp;the Maison&#39;s new high jewellery collection, Les Ciels de Chaumet.

The exhibition itself is incredibly lavish and stunning, containing about 250 pieces, some of which have never&nbsp;been showcased before. Put together by experienced&nbsp;curators St&eacute;phane Bern and Christophe Vachaudez, the exhibition is a viewing opportunity that&#39;s hard to come by,&nbsp;as the pieces are taken from a total of 15 different museums&nbsp;and around 40 private lenders, some of which are also&nbsp;on loan from private collections.&nbsp;

In the exhibition, Chaumet highlights the&nbsp;iconic tiara&nbsp;through time, with the Maison&#39;s first muse having been Empress Jos&eacute;phine&nbsp;- from a symbol of power and&nbsp;shining femininity to a symbol of love that&#39;s been passed&nbsp;down and evolved with the&nbsp;generations.&nbsp;Chaumet also plays homage to some powerful feminine figures&nbsp;with the likes of empresses, queens, princesses and more.

The tiara also plays another significant&nbsp;role in the exhibition - it shows and emphasizes the continual dialogue between jewellery and the arts, with the precious headpiece&nbsp;constantly being&nbsp;reinvented.&nbsp;&nbsp;
