Over the decades, the Alhambra has continued to evolve while staying true to its original spirit. Onyx, carnelian and mother-of-pearl have all brought different personalities to the collection, while guilloché gold and Sèvres porcelain have added further layers of craftsmanship and character.
Now, Lady Luck is showing a more playful and youthful side.

The new jewellery set includes a long necklace, necklace, pendant, bracelet and earrings, spanning both the Vintage Alhambra and Magic Alhambra collections.

Enamel may feel like a fresh addition to Alhambra, but it has a long history at Van Cleef &amp; Arpels. This prized material has featured in the Maison's creations since its founding in 1906 and remains a testament to the specialist craftsmanship that sits at the heart of its jewellery-making traditions.
For this new chapter, the Maison spent years developing the perfect shade of pink in its workshops. The result is an intense yet translucent enamel with tiny bubbles suspended within the material, giving each motif a sense of depth, movement and individuality.
The colour itself was inspired by the historic 17th-century “gold-ruby” technique. Rather than relying on conventional pigments, this method creates colour through the presence of fine gold particles within the material. Achieving the right effect is far from simple. The particles must be precisely controlled in terms of their size, shape and concentration.
It took several years of research and development for Van Cleef &amp; Arpels' enamel specialists to refine the process and create the distinctive pink now seen across the new Alhambra pieces.

Set within the collection's signature gold-beaded borders, the translucent enamel takes on a particularly luminous quality when paired with yellow gold or guilloché yellow gold. Its surface is gently curved to capture and reflect the light, creating shimmering reflections that bring the motifs to life.&nbsp;Combined with the tiny bubbles scattered throughout the enamel, this gives every piece its own subtle sparkle and character.
More than 50 years after the Alhambra collection first made its debut, Van Cleef &amp; Arpels continues to find new ways to reinterpret its iconic symbol of luck. This latest addition proves that even the most recognisable designs can still surprise us.
And this time, Lady Luck is thinking pink.
