The Cartier Women&rsquo;s Initiative program is calling for applications for its 2024 edition.

For more than ten years, Cartier has been championing female empowerment through the Cartier Women&rsquo;s Initiative platform. The 2023 chapter with a &ldquo;Forces for Good&rdquo; theme, held its annual awards ceremony on May 10 in Salle Pleye, Paris, celebrating 32 fellows and remarkable impact entrepreneurs from around the world. 
The ranking in terms of first-place, second-place and third-place awardees was announced, alongside 11 awards, comprising the nine regional awards and the two thematic awards, the Science and Technology Pioneer Award launched in 2021 and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award, created this year.

Hosted by broadcaster, writer and women&rsquo;s activist Sandi Toksvig, the ceremony gathered a diverse community of global thinkers and doers from prominent leaders to entrepreneurs, public personalities and changemakers. Women&rsquo;s empowerment was top on the discussion list to deliver change for good by strengthening the bond that unites the CWI community, and driving multi-stakeholder collaborations in line with Goal 17 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, "Partnerships for the Goals".

Amal Clooney, co-founder of the Clooney Foundation for Justice and leading barrister in international law, opened the ceremony with a powerful speech, followed by welcome remarks from Cyrille Vigneron, CEO and President of Cartier International.
&ldquo;We are thrilled to host the 16th annual awards ceremony of the Cartier Women&rsquo;s Initiative in Paris, celebrating our ever-growing community of impact-driven entrepreneurs. Cartier is proud to continue building on its commitment to women&rsquo;s empowerment, thus leveraging business as a force for good,&rdquo; he said.

The first-place awardees took home US $100,000 in grant funding, while the second and third-place awardees received US $60,000 and US $30,000 respectively. Besides the grant funding, all 32 fellows will be privy to tailored mentoring and coaching, media visibility, networking opportunities from Cartier Women&rsquo;s Initiative and education courses from the prestigious business school INSEAD.
