For those who were at our <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/events-and-parties/lofficiel-singapore-12th-anniversary-party-ce-la-vi-12-march-2019-event-photos">12th anniversary party</a> in March, it was hard to miss&nbsp;the red velvet cake that we marked our birthday with, sparklers and all. The towering dessert was a feat pulled off by <a href="https://delcies.com/">Delcie&#39;s Desserts and Cakes</a>, a local bakery&nbsp;owned&nbsp;by Delcie Lam. Since 2009, Lam has stuck to her mission of&nbsp;offering delectable pastries for everybody to enjoy, regardless of their diets. Here, we list down all the ingredients that make&nbsp;Delcie&#39;s Desserts and Cakes&nbsp;so special &mdash; and why you&#39;ll want to treat your mum to them this weekend.

A Spoonful of (Coconut) Sugar

Or stevia, or agave. The point is: organic, natural sweeteners only. Delcie&rsquo;s cakes do not use cane sugar, making them diabetes-friendly. The absence of cane sugar also means that anyone who sticks to the trendy low-carb, high-fat keto diet will be able to enjoy the cakes too. Followers of the diet can also choose from a variety of cakes that are rich in keto-friendly ingredients like organic nuts and extra virgin coconut oil.

Zero Ounces of Milk

If you have a stricter diet or any food allergies, you&rsquo;ll appreciate the fact that Delcie&rsquo;s cakes are vegan-friendly and do not contain eggs, or any animal products for that matter. That includes dairy products like cheese, milk and even whey protein, which is still typically included in vegan cakes from other bakeries. Delcie began her search for &uuml;ber healthy and organic baking recipes as a tribute to her mother, for whom she had tried &ndash; and failed &ndash; to find delicious, sugar-free cakes after the latter&rsquo;s cancer diagnosis. Since then, she has picked out her favourite recipes and compiled them in a new book, &ldquo;Delcie&rsquo;s Desserts and Cakes&rdquo;. The book will launch this Mother&rsquo;s Day as part of her bakery&rsquo;s 10th anniversary celebrations, which also includes hands-on workshops and demonstrations of the recipes by the baker herself.

A Bouquet of Florets

Delcie&rsquo;s Desserts and Cakes is also marking its first decade with two new wholesome cake flavours: Pistachio Raspberry Lemon and Rocher Chocolate. The first is a delicious, cholesterol-free cake that is adorned with florets in warm coral and cream hues borrowed from the colour palette of Delcie&rsquo;s redesigned storefront. Rocher Chocolate, on the other hand, is an enticing vegan offering that can even be enjoyed by diabetics with a love for chocolate.&nbsp;
