Things are getting pretty hot and heavy, what with election fever, and an ongoing pandemic, and we&#39;re&nbsp;only midway into 2020.&nbsp;Which is why sometimes the best way to deal with that added stress, is to simply just be at one with nature.&nbsp;

Singapore may be a concrete jungle, but we&rsquo;ve got plenty of nature spots to hike in and soak up the benefits of mother nature. Ahead are some of the parks and natural attractions that are available for you to visit, with appropriate safety measures in mind.

This is probably Singapore&rsquo;s most famous garden, both a favourite amongst residents and tourists alike. Built with 18 foliage-covered metal structures, and the tallest of which reaches 16 storeys, Gardens by the Bay is a nature park that spans 1010 hectares in Singapore&rsquo;s Central Region, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir.

&nbsp;Due to safety matters, their attractions will be opened in phases: Flower Dome will first open to Friends of the Gardens this month onwards, while the rest of the public will be able to visit from 11 July onwards. All other amenities and services will also be open this month.&nbsp;

Home to one of the largest freshwater marshes in Singapore, Kranji Marshes has a unique biodiversity and is home to more than 250 animal species, including the blue-eared kingfisher and hawk eagle, perfect for avid bird watchers and nature lovers alike. It&rsquo;s photogenic raptor tower in the middle of the marshes also grants you a unique 360 degree panoramic view of your surroundings. The nature reserve is open to public.

Sands Skypark Observation Deck

Nestled atop Marina Bay Sands Hotel, the Sands Skypark Observation Deck provides an unparalleled view of&nbsp; our garden city skyline, that stretches from Gardens by the Bay, to the sea view from Marina South Pier to the Singapore Strait. It is now open from this month onwards, with enhanced hygiene and safe distancing protocols, such as hourly disinfection of all high-touch points, a reduced capacity, and more.&nbsp;

MacRitchie Reservoir Park

Perfect for nature lovers, MacRitchie&nbsp; Resevoir Park has extensive hiking trails, including the treetop walk: the instagrammable suspension bridge that brings trekkers over the forest canopy. It&rsquo;s also got rental facilities for kayaking and canoeing, and you can catch a glimpse of some of its&nbsp;extensive wildlife, from flying lemurs to monkeys.

Jurong Lake Gardens

Spanning along the West of Singapore, and one of the latest natural hotspots for Singaporeans, Jurong Lake Gardens includes Lakeside Garden, featuring its iconic lalang-filled grasslands, and its <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/B-uPXW_JucC/">lone standing tree</a> (dubbed the &lsquo;instagram tree&rsquo;). The restored freshwater swamp was unveiled a little more than a year ago, and makes for the perfect backdrop for any couple or instagram shoot.&nbsp;

The park is open to public, but certain amenities, such as its BBQ pits and venue rentals, remain closed.&nbsp;
