On a mission to protect the environment&nbsp;and empower the&nbsp;underprivileged women who suffer from climate change, global women&rsquo;s advocacy movement&nbsp;<a href="https://www.herplanetearth.com/">HER Planet Earth</a> took to the rooftop of the SuperTree&nbsp;by&nbsp;Indochine restaurant at Gardens by the Bay for its cause on 6 April. Led by founder <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/loffsg12-best-dressed-guests">Christine Amour-Levar</a>, HER Planet Earth hosted&nbsp;The Lost World, a Vietnamese-themed&nbsp;charity event aimed at raising funds for UN Women Vietnam.

Against a stunning backdrop of the Singapore&nbsp;skyline, the HER Planet Earth team were joined by Singaporean extreme sportsman Thaddeus Lawrence in sharing inspiring anecdotes of their recent&nbsp;expedition to Vietnam&#39;s Son Doong Cave, the largest in the world. Guests got a glimpse of the natural marvel themselves through photographer Sandra Lim&#39;s&nbsp;limited-edition prints, which were exhibited and auctioned off that evening. The crowd&nbsp;was also treated to champagne and delicious Vietnamese canap&eacute;s at the jungle-themed event.&nbsp;

HER Planet Earth&#39;s efforts certainly&nbsp;paid off; The Lost World&nbsp;raised close to $50,000 in proceeds, all of which goes to funding UN Women Vietnam, an organization that&nbsp;focuses&nbsp;on the economic empowerment of women in rural Vietnam.&nbsp;According to the Global Climate Risk Index 2015, Vietnam is one of the top 10 countries most affected by climate change and disasters.&nbsp;

&quot;While climate change is a global phenomenon, its impact is not spread across a level playing field,&quot; says Christine Amour-Levar.&nbsp;&quot;This is why it is vital that we support programmes that empower and educate underprivileged women who are already feeling the brunt of climate change.&rdquo;&nbsp;

Up next on HER Planet Earth&#39;s agenda is&nbsp;&quot;Challenge Iceland 2019&quot;, an expedition to the Nordic island led by Amour-Levar and&nbsp;Lucy Bennett-Baggs, Founder of Just Challenge.&nbsp;Women from any background, industry and country are invited to take part in the expedition and trek over 75km through spectacular Icelandic terrain to&nbsp;raise&nbsp;funds for UN Women&#39;s programmes.
