From Estelle to Jamie Cullum, Asia's premier jazz festival brings some of the biggest names in music to Marina Bay Sands this April

Returning for its fifth year running, the Singapore International Jazz Festival (Sing Jazz) 2018 will kickstart on Friday, 6&nbsp;April at the iconic Marina Bay Sands. Spanning across&nbsp;multiple stages around the integrated resort, the&nbsp;three-day musical extravaganza comprises of 12 mega&nbsp;acts, 30 hours of world-class music and a&nbsp;curated programme line-up&nbsp;set to excite&nbsp;over 20,000 fans.

One of the first handful of acts kicking off the festival&nbsp;is visionary French artist Sebastian Tellier,&nbsp;who will grace the Main Stage alongside&nbsp;Manchester band GoGo Penguin and Austrian musician&nbsp;Parov Stelar.&nbsp;Brazilian guitar legend&nbsp;and fan-favourite&nbsp;Paulinho Garcia&nbsp;will also be returning to our shores this year.

It will be a star-studded evening as the legendary&nbsp;soul band Soul II Soul&nbsp;and British singer&nbsp;Estelle (you probably&nbsp;know her for her Grammy award-winning hit single &quot;American Boy&quot; with Kanye West)&nbsp;take to the stage for&nbsp;The Late Show.&nbsp; Later at night, internationally renowned DJs&nbsp;SASHA&nbsp;and&nbsp;Ferry Corsten will elevate the after-party activities with their thumping sets.&nbsp;

Sing Jazz will spotlight even more world-class acts as&nbsp;&lsquo;Super Saturday&rsquo; comes along. &nbsp;The Main Stage will feature&nbsp;a stunning line-up comprising of five-time Grammy Award-winning soul singer&nbsp;Lalah Hathaway, as well as jazz-pop genius&nbsp;Jamie Cullum.

It only gets better with a headlining performance by&nbsp;legendary hip-hop and soul artist&nbsp;Lauryn Hill for&nbsp;The Late Show, which will also showcase performances by Pharrell collaborator&nbsp;MAS1A&nbsp;and sets by DJs&nbsp;Nu-Mark and&nbsp;Jnr&nbsp;Tirso.

As the weekend winds down, the festival will go out with a bang&nbsp;with performances by&nbsp;acid jazz and funk group Brand New Heavies,&nbsp;soul sensation Incognito&nbsp;featuring Omar and Leee John, and more.

&nbsp;

Aside from musical performances, Sing Jazz is also bringing&nbsp;back its popular Jazz Academy&nbsp;for the weekend,&nbsp;offering a series of masterclasses in instrumental and ensemble formats led by Incognito.&nbsp;The 2018 edition of the festival also marks the debut of the&nbsp;Festival Village, which will showcase free live performances by 16 local and regional bands from 4 to 8 April. From R&amp;B and soul to blues and funk, there&#39;s something for everyone at Asia&#39;s premier jazz festival.
