But after thinking about it a little more, I realised that perhaps I could offer a different point of view for anyone considering investing in <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/living/dyson-september-2025-announcements-supersonic-new-airwrap-coanda-2x-v8-cyclone-home-tech-beauty" title="Dyson Just Unveiled 11 New Gadgets in Berlin&mdash;Here&rsquo;s All You Need To Know" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dyson</a>&rsquo;s latest multi-styling tool, especially those who don&rsquo;t necessarily have long hair.
For a bit of backstory, I used to have long hair and experimented with it a lot. My hair is naturally thick, coarse and a little frizzy, which meant plenty of heat styling over the years. As I got older, now well into my 30s and after all that experimenting, my hair became quite damaged. I eventually decided to chop it all off and embrace my natural hair colour and texture. It&rsquo;s been years since I&rsquo;ve gone back to long locks, and between the convenience of short hair and Singapore&rsquo;s humid weather, it&rsquo;s been very hard to justify growing it out again.

It dries my hair incredibly quickly and easily, and I&rsquo;ve always been a big fan of the smoothing nozzle for taming any frizziness and coarseness. After trying so many of Dyson&rsquo;s hair tech innovations, I didn&rsquo;t think it would be easy to impress me again.
That&rsquo;s where the Airwrap Co-anda2x&trade; surprised me. It found its way into my routine almost instantly, mainly because of its versatility. To me, this really is the Swiss Army knife of hair tools. With its range of attachments, you can dry, curl, wave, straighten, smooth and volumise, all with no extreme heat damage and in just minutes.

A big part of its effectiveness comes down to the Hyperdymium&trade; 2 motor, Dyson&rsquo;s fastest and most powerful hair care motor yet. The improvements aren&rsquo;t just about power. The Airwrap Co-anda2x&trade; is also smaller and lighter in the hand, making it easier to manoeuvre and control. I could really feel this difference straight away. It has the same lightweight, intuitive handling that I love about the Dyson Supersonic r&trade;, but with so many more styling options. These include the 20mm, 30mm and 40mm Co-anda2x&trade; curling barrels for different curl sizes, the AirSmooth2x&trade; attachment for a sleeker finish, and the Fast Dryer 2x attachment for ultra-quick drying before styling.
This level of versatility also makes the Airwrap Co-anda2x&trade; a fantastic investment for families. My sister is the complete opposite of me, with super long, wavy hair, while my mum has even coarser and drier hair than I do. Over the past two months, the Airwrap Co-anda2x&trade; has been the only hair tool we&rsquo;ve used, and it&rsquo;s worked for every single one of us, even though we all gravitate towards different attachments.

My sister loves the 30mm Co-anda2x&trade; curling barrels for her everyday curls and the Round Volumising Brush 2x when she wants added volume while keeping things natural. Each attachment has an RFID chip that communicates with the machine and automatically adapts to the best temperature and airflow settings. While the attachments come preset with recommended settings, they can be customised using the MyDyson&trade; app. My sister and I enjoyed creating our own daily settings for each attachment, and she especially loved personalising her curling routine with i.d. curl&trade;. My mum, however, was perfectly happy snapping on the attachments and letting the smart sensors do the work.&nbsp;
With the holidays coming up, this feels like the kind of tool that genuinely makes life easier. While I&rsquo;ve always admired Dyson&rsquo;s approach to hair technology, the Airwrap Co-anda2x&trade; stands out for how seamlessly it adapts to different hair types, lengths and styling habits.
