There are those who say that&nbsp;&quot;what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas&quot;, but when a sojourn in the&nbsp;Nevadan city involves a chapel and an eternal promise, it can be a little more difficult to forget. Be it a planned ceremony or a spur-of-the-moment decision, over the years we&#39;ve seen plenty of celebrity couples&nbsp;declare&nbsp;&quot;I do&quot; in Las Vegas (some have lasted, and many, sadly not).&nbsp;

Earlier this month, the singer and the Stranger Things actor&nbsp;declared their love for each other in <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/Culture/dressed-in-dior-lily-allen-gets-married-in-las-vegas-to-quot-stranger-things-quot-star">an intimate ceremony</a> at Sin City&#39;s iconic Graceland Chapel, officiated by&nbsp;Elvis Presley himself (okay, his&nbsp;impersonator). There were only two names on the couple&#39;s guest list, Allen&#39;s daughters Ellen and Marnie.&nbsp;

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas

After the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas were supposed to&nbsp;get married in secret in Las Vegas, but their well-laid plans went awry when Diplo &quot;ruined&quot; the event by live-streaming their nuptials on social media. Diplo later apologised&nbsp;(in his song &#39;Lonely&#39;), and the couple hosted a second ceremony for family and&nbsp;friends at the <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/living/chateau-de-tourreau-where-joe-jonas-sophie-turner-exchanged-their-vows">Chat&ecirc;au de Tourreau</a> in Provence, France. Turner and Jonas welcomed their first child, <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/Culture/joe-jonas-and-sophie-turner-gave-their-baby-the-cutest-name-ever">Willa</a>, in late July.&nbsp;

Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton

Overshadowed by her high-profile marriage (and ongoing divorce) to&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/Culture/brad-pitt-and-jennifer-aniston-reunited-on-zoom-and-the-internet-is-not-okay">Brad Pitt</a>, you may not remember that <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/red-carpet-rave-angelina-jolie-s-best-looks-on-the-maleficent-tour">Angelina Jolie</a> was once with Billy Bob Thornton. In 2000, Jolie and Thornton got hitched at the Little Church of the West Chapel&nbsp;two months after they started dating (and famously wore vials of each other&#39;s blood as necklaces), but the relationship lasted only until 2003. Reverend Jim Hamilton, who officiated their nuptials, later told a source, &quot;Personally, I don&#39;t think they had really planned it out for long, I think it was a spur of the moment deal but I&#39;m not sure. I didn&#39;t ask, &#39;Oh what made you decide to get married?&#39; It was my job to marry them.&quot;

Many couples spend months planning the perfect wedding, but Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere went spontaneous for their 1991 union. Having met at photographer Herb Ritts&#39;&nbsp;barbecue a year earlier, the couple travelled by private jet to Las Vegas while Gere was on a break from filming Mr. Jones.

Elvis first met his future wife, Priscilla Presley (n&eacute;e Beaulieu) in 1959, when he was stationed in West Germany during his stint in the U.S. Army. He was 24 at the time, and she was just 14 years old. They got married eight years later at the now-defunct Aladdin Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, and divorced in 1973 after having a daughter together (Elvis&#39; only child), Lisa Marie.&nbsp;
